Fed up! Indian Tourists Caught Urinating at Pattaya Beach, Sparking Outrage

During the early hours of 16th January, a group of Indian tourists was caught on video displaying inappropriate behaviour at Pattaya Beach in Chonburi, Thailand.

 

A Thai holidaymaker recorded the incident, where 5-6 men urinated into the sea in clear view of numerous other tourists. The video has rapidly spread, causing outrage amongst residents and visitors alike.

 

The Thai observer discreetly captured the footage as the tourists openly relieved themselves before casually regrouping and dispersing along the beach.

This incident has sparked discussions about the need for increased supervision to prevent such behaviour, especially in a diverse and popular tourist destination like Pattaya.

 

In response to this recent incident, local residents and business owners have voiced concerns about the impact of such behaviours on Pattaya's image as a world-renowned holiday spot.

 

This isn’t an isolated event, as reports of tourists behaving inappropriately have surfaced before, pushing for more consistent enforcement of public behaviour guidelines.

 

Authorities have been urged to increase the presence of patrols along the beach to deter such actions and safeguard the environment and comfort of both tourists and locals.

 

Suggestions include installing additional signage in multiple languages to inform visitors of local customs and regulations, and deploying volunteers or beach wardens to monitor activity and offer guidance, reprted Amarin TV.

There are public toilets in India. Thailand is very happy to receive tourists, but fails to reinvest in tourist infrastructure. And if you have to go, you have to go.

No outrage among Thai residents.  I've lived here 20 years and see Thais urinating on the verge of (busy) roads every single day.

Ever had a taxi driver stop en-route and do that.....not unusual. Spend the next 2-3 minutes looking over my shoulder worrying about an out of control 12 wheeler oncoming!

Out for a walk this morning in BK & passed a taxi driver who thankfully was just zipping up. He smiled at me, but luckily didn't go for a high-five. It's not pleasant for females.

I think there’s a huge difference between getting caught short whilst driving and openly standing on the beach of a world renowned, high class resort …..they are just taking the ****.

I don't get all this "outrage" go stand at the front of the tessabahn office in Hua Hin. It reeks of urine where the tax drivers sit.

I once had to urinate while in a taxi going to the airport. The driver was a good sport and he found a vast open space to relieve myself.

 

That was a close call and please don't paint all Thais with the same brush. They were just upset they were indian. They love us Farang

For men all of Thailand is considered a public toilet.  It’s the women who suffer and have to find a needle in a haystack- a public toilet.

As for thai being offended, I can barely leave the house without spotting some taxi driver pissing in the street.

We had to put in a sensor light and a camera to stop them pissing against our front wall on a busy lower Sukhumvit soi

Always so much "outrage" by these writers. There's "outrage" with every flick of the finger, caused of course only by foreigners. Where's the "outrage" with taxi drivers peeing every day of the week against the construction site fence on Wireless Road between Ploenchit and Petchaburi Roads. Oh, they're Thai. No "outrage" called for. "Outrage" is reserved for foreigners only. Overuse of  outrage is like peeing in the ocean!

I have to go now and then very urgently. Diabetes seems to do that. Always keep an eye open for hotels.

Thai tuk tuk drivers are considered low class so no outage,but westerners are supposed to be better than them.

If there is any spare outrage please send some to Hua Hin. The Beach horse handlers piss in the beach sois. Their horses also leave alot of debris on the beach. Too many horses now, so there is lots of  manure.

I recall inadvertently stepping on human feces at the Delhi railway station. They are not a clean society. If they spent just a bit of their nuclear weapons budget on public hygiene, they might not be so dirty.
