i will soon need to apply to Pattaya immigration for yearly retirement renewal Previously renewals done at CW (Bangkok).

Note I already have TM30 completed form with my Pattaya address.

Some questions:

1 . Apart from completed TM 7, passport, bank letter and bank book, (800k) lease and passport copies, TM 30, 90 day report, any other document copies needed or forms to be filled in??

2 Does the bank letter need to be dated the same day as i apply to immigration?

3. In Pattaya will I get my passport with new Visa renewal stamp back the same day I apply?

4. Will I need to report back at a later date re the 800k?

5 Anything else I should know re procedures at Pattaya immigration?

Many thx in advance!

(1) you also need a passport photo. Their info sheet also says bank statement is needed (along with the bank letter and passbook copies)

(2) bank letter can be day before

(3) I was there Monday and they had a sign saying come back after 2pm on Wednesday for passport pick-up, so appears to be 2 day return for passport now during high season.

(4) you will be given an official form saying you must come back at 90 days to show 800k still in bank. I only needed copy of passport bio page, valid to stay stamp page and last 3 months passbook pages with this form so pretty easy (you don't need to queue or get ticket, just go straight to desk 8 and show form, took one minute)

Here's the latest info sheet they hand out at Jomtien for non-imm O / Extension

No. "Official form" no it's a junk made up sticker.

Never required.

You don't use Jomtien immigration but you continue to tell everyone to just ignore Jomtien Immigration policies?

The fact is immigration gives you a form you sign which tells you to come back to immigration 90 days later to prove 800k finances. As I live in Jomtien immigration jurisdiction I decided to follow Jomtien immigration directions (easy to say don't do it when you have no skin in the game). As I said in previous post it took a few passbook copies and 1 minute at desk 8 without having to queue or get ticket. Hardly a huge inconvenience to do what they ask.

Despite numerous threads and posts that your paperwork is thrown in bin along with ZERO consequences of issue with not returning at 3 months.

Not everyone dealing with Jomitien is handy to that office.

Not to mention mobility issues.

It's a nonsense rogue request from Jomitien.

No surprise there.

Okay you've convinced me. I'm done giving "my actual experience" advice about Jomtien immigration in the visa forum as every time you say something I said is wrong

I can confirm that I have always followed that Jomtien immigration guideline, but during the covid period I still had to queue outside in a crowd for 45 minutes, unlike normal, just walk in, hand in the doc. and go back outside without waiting, regardless of whether others were being treated!

That is why I literally asked the I.O. ( that friendly Indian Thai I.O) what the punishment / consequence / fine would be if I had not done that ......

Clearly surprised and bored he admitted that there was no fine or punishment or consequence regarding this, but that it is meant to help us that we would not act unwisely or forget to keep the obligation to keep the 400,000 in full ..... friendly explanation but a bit of a weak defense, because of course 3 months you have to have 800,000 Baht back in full on the account for the new extension later

So DR jack54 is right  .... no forced to do in real

The final controle is by your new extention later if the 800 000 rule was  followed in full
