Joseph98765 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I live Chiang mai and I spent 3 days in Tak. The hotel changed my residence address...from there all ok. Last week I had to do my TM47 and I put my address of Chiang mai doing the TM47 online and was rejected, because the address they have was still Tak Hotel, then I told my landlord to put me again in the system (TM30) and when she did after few hours later I did my TM 47 again...and was rejected again, but this time they told me come to immigration in person...WT* So when I went to immigration looks like every time you book a night in a hotel, your next TM47 you must to go in person to do it... or at least that's what the officer told me (and not very convincing because he had to ask someone about that). This rule is new in Chiang mai? because I've here for 10 years traveling and staying in hotels and I never had a problem to put my condo address after staying in a hotel 1 month before. I know every time you leave the country, yes is mandatory to go in person to immigration for your next TM47.......but even staying in a hotel in Chiang mai for 1 night I have to go?? they have a convenient online system and I don't have to waste one day of my work vacations for this sh*t.. Did anyone has the same situation here?? 1
BrandonJT Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Impossible to say what the issue is. Often when they deny a TM47 they list a reason, did they not list one the 2nd time? TM47 online generally works for people, until it doesn't. You can ask when you go into the office why it was rejected, but it could be many reasons. Most common is typo in your address so it didn't EXACTLY match the TM30, but they may also see the time between your stay in Tak and your TM30 back home and know you didn't file within 24 hours. So they may want to have a chat with you about that, or just give you a hard time and make you go in person because of it.
DrJack54 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago OP, CM have always insisted on TM30 for even inter provience travel. Even when rules were changed in June 2020. If I lived in CM I would do zero TM30 and TM47 and cop annual fine. I just opt to do one TM30 prior to my annual extension (CW). No simple solution for your situation. Bit off topic: I'm always bashing TM47 and was interest in how my online report would go this time as no travel outside of Thailand and all out of provience since report in person we never need pp. Anyway online report approved over night (CW). Still in shock. 1

They didn't list anything....come to the office immediately... but yeah, once there...2 min was done...after a 2h queue...and one wasted day.
