did trump call greenland pm and threaten to take it by force?

I just googled it, at your request, and no he didn't call the Greenland PM .

He called the Denmark PM, but I can't find any source that claims he made the threat as you specify it.

Maybe, you should do your homework, before demanding it from others

Sad to say,.but seems to be very little separate Russia from USA these days.

And if Trump manage to change Usa against Europe, there is a number of countries wh already fed up with the US, so who will be your friends then?

Again, Usa needs Europe, more than we need you

No matter how much power he now has, not everything he asks for will be adhered to. Things still have to go through Congress, and they've seen many presidents try and use their power to change things. The US will never be against Europe as that's where most of our ancestors come from, and now so many live in America. Trade is necessary between most nations and that won't change because there is money to be made, and commodities that people want. Most countries thrive on this trade, so only a moron would try and change that, and that moron won't last. As far as Trump, time will tell if he sticks with his many promises or just gets caught up in his usual power trip all for his own ego.

In retrospect, that's a fair point.

He finally gets Britain off the hook for India.  Well done that man!

And if you just look at a globe and imagine you were playing a strategy computer game - then both Greenland and Ukraine makes some sense.

Although I suspect Trump hatched his plans looking at a map rather than a globe, and he might feel short-changed if he gets his hands on Greenland.

Even if Greenlanders, who are supposedly autonomous, vote democratically to join Trump's America?

Surely forcing them to remain part of socialist Denmark, against their will, would be more "Putin" like?

It always amuses me seeing lefties hot takes, which never ever make an ounce of sense, just blindly copying their msm narratives.

ABOVE: "Surely forcing them to remain part of socialist Denmark, against their will, would be more "Putin" like?"

Strange comment: a google search says that the danes are quite happy with their lot and in fact like the socialist aspects of the way things work. And who said any change would be against their will?

As that counts you out why are you still posting your tripe?

Oh what a cutting riposte.

I have!

So what?

Good. Then you know about the kinship ties and organizational ties between Alaska natives and Greenland natives?

https://alaskabeacon.com/2024/04/20/alaska-native-vision-for-the-future-self-determination/

Self determination is $$. Too long the Dems and colonialists have treated Natives like children, interfering in their plans for employment, money and development. Roads. Schools. Hospitals. Ports.

You asked, and it reminds folks (although most know) how much more credible I am than you in any topic.

Your modesty is so becoming, especially of such a troll as you!

Don't worry, the term "witty" will never be associated with your posts.

Somebody tell the bone spurs coward that it’s 2025, and the days of Imperialism are long since dead.

I usually don't comment in this section, but I enjoy the entertainment value. The above post was way to big to bother commenting on, but one sentence stood out to me: "... the days of imperialism are long since dead".

Are they? Really? You (and I) might wish that to be true, but last time I checked, many of the left/liberals/... keep saying that they KNOW what Putin wants. And that is to re-create the Soviet Union and invade Europe (exactly HOW they know this is a bit unclear to me, and likewise how Putin would go about doing this isn't obvious with his limited resources and economy).

And China, well we can observe that they are on all continents, busy investing/buying up ports, land and building big things with thick strings attached. But they also flex some military muscles, so far mainly in the South China Sea, but also elsewhere.

Feel free to disagree, I don't really care. I just had to point it out, that's all.

That would be an interesting case as Greenland is a NATO member. 🙂

Just think if the USA did buy Greenland, then, hopefully, NATO would loose 2 members :cheesy:

Will the orange one inform Greenlanders that they will lose their universal healthcare and free education, or will he inform current Americans that he will allow Greenlanders to continue as they are? Tough call.

Does it work like that. Region A votes to secede from Country X, votes to join US, US automatically lets them in.

So where is Puerto Rico in this? They are actual US citizens. In the 2024 US Elections, 58% of Puerto Ricans voted in favour of Statehood. 52% voted for it in 2020.

But then Trump suggested that the US offer Denmark Puerto Rico in exchange. Denmark should make a counter offer, because this is how Trump thinks; Greenland for one of the US States that Trump doesn't want, like California. Californians who want to remain American are free to relocate to Greenland and start a new life on the ice shelf eating raw fish and walrus meat.

In the new Danish province of Californien, the provincial capital is moved to the pretty town of Solvang, previously known as the Danish Capital of America. Remaining Californians earn Danish citizenship, and with that visa free travel to the EU. Naturally all trade barriers are dropped. Californians will feel very comfortable as Danes. Danes are almost embarassingly fluent at English.

In the natural subsequent negotiations, Denmark settles for Florida, after rejecting Nebraska. Evacuations of frightened Villagers to neighbouring luxurious resort town of Bayou La Batre*, Alabama, start in the morning.

*The movie Forrest Gump lies. Its an inbred dump, with the main feature being the state liquor store.

I think that you are getting confused. The majority is Greenlanders are indigenous Inuits. It's the majority of Americans who are not native to their country.

There is a matter of semantics there. Norsemen colonised Greenland two centuries before the Inuit. Denmark colonised Greenland in the 18 Century, making them colonisers and natives simultaneously. Ultimately none of us are natives, because we all came out of Africa.

And your point is? Do you know when the Greenlanders arrived? Did you know they came from Alaska?

The original Greenlanders came from Iceland, Norway, 300 years before those invading Alaskan colonists.

The Paleo Inuit died out/abandoned Greenland  almost 1000 years before Erik the Red, when he arrived in 986. There is no sign of them in the present populaton. The Thule invaders/illegals from Alaska, didn't arrive until the 14th Century, whereupon they found a bunch of brickhard Norsemen already living there. They had battles, killed each other, but eventually the Norseman won. The Norsemen gave many words to the world. One of them was berserkr, to denote a warrior off his tits on narcotics going on a rampage wearing a bearskin.
