Everybody called him Bill because he had to pay. He died a couple of years ago, everyone knew and respect him as he was the only one on Samui that could drive a car in the early -70. So he had to drive the first car, the school bus.

The best place in Bang Sare is the one next to Preecha heading away from the pier, the last one on the row. Don't know the name and I've been going there for 30 years!

I promised my little princess I'd take her to the seafood restaurant for Valentines day. What's the best seafood restaurant in Pattaya/Jomtien /Na Jomtien at the moment. Price no object. BTW, we ate at the seafood buffet, Jomtien second road, heading south, on your left just before Chaiyaphruek. Food average, did not like the air quality, it was full of burning coal from the BBQ's. Where's the feedback? What did you choose and how was it? 1

I think that is called Je Juk ? and is close to the slipway. Personally, in Bang Saray, I prefer Preecha - mainly because the missus was unlucky with food poisoning from Je Juk. My favourite is Lung Suwai (next to Pupen) in Na Jomtien. Although I also enjoyed the BBQ in Naklua at Krathing Lai beach.... forget the name of the restaurant but it is about 500m from Bella Villa Cabana hotel. 1

Like many countries, I am sure things were more easy going "back then." Now, like most countries, there are so many laws, fees, fines, tolls, taxes, licenses etc which has seen everyone lose a lot of their freedom. 1 1

The whole seating area is actually over the water and at the far end of the restaurant there is an additional seating area built farther out over the water. Anyway it's the last restaurant on the row, just before the arch.
