Wake Up! - EVs Are Here, and Your Gas Guzzler is on Life Support
I had forgotten about one of my main reasons for not buying an EV . So many times in the wet season local roads are flooded often in a foot or so of water. Very concerning with a large battery stored low down in a car. Battery replacement is NOT cheap. Wife kept showing me dead EVs on you tube. Not many but one even had red plates and a 800,000bht battery replacement as flood damage is not a warranty issue. Apparently it wasn't covered on her insurance either. OUCH. -

Trump 2.0 -- Exponentially more damaging than Trump 1.0
Again, only to trump haters. Democrats lost the election due to their disastrous politics, and If they hadn't have cheated with the mail in ballots in 2020 he'd be gone now... suck it up -

Are high end smartphones worth the money (to you)?
I do own 2 Android phones, one high and one for around 5,000 Baht. The cheap one is used only as GPS on my motorbike. I hate the cheap one and it is a known brand name. First of all the screen quality is so bad that it is very difficult to see anything during a bike ride. And in the hot season the screen turns black with a warning " device is overheated, cool down your phone". And last but not least it is so terrible slow, often there is a long delay after typing in my destination. -

Trump's Trade War to Raise Prices on a Wide Range of Products
“He stood in the way of 100 fentanyl detection machines,” said Andrew Bates, a former White House aide under President Joe Biden, referring to the devices that the Department of Homeland Security says are the best tool for stopping the flow of the drug. Currently, only a small fraction of all cars crossing northward into the United States from Mexico are scanned as they enter. The vast majority of fentanyl seized at the border is taken from cars driven by American citizens at official ports of entry. Had the bill that Trump blocked last summer passed — he said he told his allies in Congress to 0kill it because it would have helped Democrats beat him in November — the 100 new machines would have dramatically increased the percentage of scanned cars. So where are his priorities, is this really about stopping the flow of drugs, or is that just another one of his totally fake talking points?
