People have been giving forward for centuries. It's a way of life for some communities. Don't be envious, it's really unattractive.

Do you have often a crisis?

It's okay, don't bother. Obviously just meaningless nonsense.

Agree I sponsored a young girl to have a lifesaving operation in the US  which she could not have in OZ the donation saved her life

Yes, but what was the reference to someone expecting a baby to have 500,000 dollars? I don't see the connection with anything I posted. So maybe you meant someone else? Perhaps you can explain. Thank you.

I have a French mate in Phuket who paid for a heart operation for someone’s wife as the husband didn’t have the huge amount needed. She was operated in Bangkok and is now a mostly healthy young lady and mum.
Lots of people have fundraisers to send their family to America or wherever. You do anything you can for family or your friends. I think fund raisers are necessary. Thanks to anyone that helps others.

I would not donate to someone who drives a bike and does not have a helmet

Indeed. I don't get the jealousy/envy of some here. Especially when it's not even their money. Usually they get to complain about being a taxpayer. But here people are just being nasty for the sake of it.

I said for an operation that was not available in OZ

Again, what was the reference to someone expecting a baby to have 500,000 dollars? I don't see the connection with anything I posted. Please explain or withdraw.

Did you accidentally quote the wrong person?

Jeez, will you all just stop this and show a bit of bloody respect!!!

When this man was reported missing, people were falling over themselves to post suggestions that he was lost in Pat Pong, in a soapy massage etc. etc. - you all saw and many wrote, the posts.

Now, possibly so they don't lose all face (or don't think they do), some people are still suggesting that he must have been up to something, others are attacking the Go Fund Me appeal.

Many posters are simply fighting amongst themselves. One suggested his family are scammers......jeez!

What is wrong with you?  You know very little about this man and even less about how he died.  Some people like to have somewhere to go to pay their respects or remember a loved one. If he is laid to rest in the UK, his family will have that. If people want to contribute to a fund to repatriate this man's body, surely that's up to them? Its certainly nothing to do with you. Maybe there'll be enough left over to make his son's life a little easier, if only for a short time.

On the subject of 'loved ones', can we please not forget that this man had a 7 year old son who now does not have a father.

Moderators, please consider closing this thread, there is far too much speculation going on here - mostly negative, some downright nasty. We are discussing a man who has died. Is there no respect anymore?

What do we know about James Sangwine that does not originate with his girlfriend?

Are there any local or international verifiable reports such as a police report of his unexplained death?

If a Go Fund Me account is based on a completely false premise, is that a criminal offence of fraud?

Why should anyone feel bad?  It is a freedom of speech forum unless you are a Labour MP?

Also there was still a high possibility he could have turned up safe and well.

Most of the comments were optimistic and not pessimistic, the optimism may have used humour in some of them however I don't recall any of them wishing misadventure on him.

However agreed it is a very sad situation and thoughts towards his family and RIP James.

This is very sad, unless he had an underlying health issue, then the story sadly looks like foul play, which happens to often in Thailand, condolences to his family

This story might make all the bigots and keyboard warriors ashamed of themselves now after all the <deleted> they posted on the original story,

R.I.P young man and heart felt condolences to your family

I'd rather call them keyboard clowns

All the posters on here have never known not having money,  So, they don't get it.  They think we all have 15k on hand, just because they do. They live in another world to some of us.

Yeah there are so many @rseholes on this forum

Would there be a fundraiser if he had died in UK?

Every Brit needs a fundraiser when in trouble. How do they have the money to come to TK?

Are you serious?

Get this fellow cremated, then have the ashes sent back to home country, it is a lot cheaper, than sending a body back.

My opinion anyway. Less looking around for other people money for sure.
