Trump Set to Issue Executive Order Banning Transgender Athletes from Female Sports

President Donald Trump is poised to sign an executive order Wednesday that will bar transgender girls and women from participating in female sports at schools and colleges across the United States. The move, fulfilling a campaign promise, is expected to have sweeping implications for educational institutions receiving federal funding.

The order, titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” will be signed in the afternoon, according to sources familiar with the matter, including a White House official and a congressional representative. Rep. Nancy Mace (R., S.C.), who plans to attend the signing, defended the decision in a press release, stating, “This executive order restores fairness, upholds Title IX’s original intent, and defends the rights of female athletes who have worked their whole lives to compete at the highest levels.” The timing of the order coincides with the 39th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Although the exact details of the order remain unclear, it is expected that Trump will direct the Department of Education to interpret Title IX regulations as prohibiting transgender girls and women from competing in female sports categories. If implemented, the interpretation could lead to policy changes and regulatory guidance affecting almost every K-12 school and college in the nation. Title IX, a provision in the Education Amendments Act of 1972, prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational activities, but its application to transgender students has been the subject of fierce debate for years.

With over 1,100 member schools, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has already signaled that it will move quickly to adjust its policies in response to the executive order. “We’re a national governing body and we follow federal law,” NCAA President Charlie Baker said during a contentious hearing with Republican senators in December. The order could significantly impact the 27 states that already have restrictions on transgender athletes in school sports, while also challenging the policies of 14 states that currently mandate their inclusion.

Legal battles over the rights of transgender athletes have already played out in courts across the country. In several cases, judges have ruled in favor of transgender female plaintiffs, arguing that categorical bans on their participation violate Title IX and the Equal Protection Clause. However, some courts have indicated a willingness to uphold restrictions, suggesting that limiting eligibility for women’s sports may be legally consistent with Title IX’s intent.

As Trump’s executive order takes effect, the legal and political fight over transgender inclusion in sports is expected to escalate, with schools, advocacy groups, and lawmakers bracing for its far-reaching impact.

They develop physique of an athletic man then the sausage comes off.

Not a level playing field.

Think they keep the sausage, but it gets hollowed out.

and inverted, to make some kind of vagina.

So when they have sex with a man, his is putting his penis inside another penis. :shock1:

He’s a donkey but this move to protect women is healthy. Also keep men out of women’s toilets and prisons. Someone can be whatever they want, who cares, but a bloke in a dress going into a female toilet to look at a girl is just wrong!

I'm not in favor of trans switching their gender in sports, but I don't think a President has the authority to order what leagues or universities can do. Smells like imperial overreach.

That being said, it's rather unfair to allow a born male to compete in women's sports. My university time in the 100 and 200 meter would qualify me for the Olympics as a female, but if I ran with the males, the judges would be awarding the medals before I finished. Olympic males are more than a second faster than Olympic females, and in a 100 meter sprint at full throttle, that's 12 meters. I also read an article that in 2023, more than 2000 male high school students in the US ran 100 meter times faster than the Women's Olympic champion.

This would sort itself out naturally when women simply stopped training and gave up. Sha'carri would be a model, not an athlete.

It just goes to show how warped our society has become. This executive order, along with the other order that clarifies there are only two genders (male and female, in case any uber-liberals are so far removed from reality as to not understand), should be totally unnecessary. :coffee1:

Do you really think he gives a sh!t about working within the rule of law?

There are three branches of US gubmint - executive, legislative, judicial. The legislative branch has been infiltrated by Republicans shaking in their boots for fear of upsetting president Musk or the other court jester, rendering them less than useless. The judicial branch can wag their fingers all they want and scream from the mountain tops that Musk is operating illegally and must stop. However, the judicial branch has no army backing them up. Both Musk and the court jester can say, "Oh yeah? Try and MAKE us stop."

To all the Trump haters .... don't tell me you think this is a bad decision?

Oh, I think it is a good idea - I fail to see why it needs the full weight and ceremony of a formal signing of an "Executive order".

It is mesmerising to watch Trump leaping like a geriatric obese gazelle from passing bandwagon to passing bandwagon; doesn't change my view of him or the government he is (supposedly) in charge of one bit!

It would be better if Congress passed a law, rather than ceding more power to the Executive branch, but those days are long gone.

The NAIA outright banned all trans athletes last year.

The NCAA agreed to accept Federal guidance, which this edict offers.

Trumps' earlier trans bans are a lot more sweeping...

Tell that to the female boxer that got her face bashed in and quit within 45 seconds. Better yet, put you name on the list for the next match.

Even Tug has begun to marginalize trannies as fringe deviants How enlightened of him. The Village People threads have also shown how homophobic the left can be even when it's is internalized. They are all self loathing losers.
