Good! Excellent. But with that said I do hope that schools and colleges will fund a sub-class of sports in an "open" class where trans and anyone else who wishes to participate, can participate in sports.  Schools have accommodated "special needs children" in sports, and in effective, trans kids are a sub-class of "special needs" children.  But just like you don't match a special needs child to compete against Riley Gaines, you don't match a genetic male to compete against Riley Gaines or any other woman either.

Then maybe we should just have two sports categories: Open and Women's. What do you think about that? But we'd still have to have specifications, rules, and maybe even tests to determine who is considered a "woman" and who isn't.

The EO signing  event was much appreciated by all who attended.Many activist, woman athletes and politicians fought hard for this! I remember Riley Gaines being   attacked  by Transgender groups at one of her speaking events.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association's board of governors voted to update the association's participation policy for student-athletes following President Donald Trump's executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women's sports.

The new policy only allows student-athletes assigned female at birth to participate in women's sporting competitions. However, student-athletes assigned male at birth will still be allowed to practice with women’s teams and receive benefits, like medical care, while practicing.

I thought the fact that Biden was showering with his daughter was relevant, given his changes to Title IX compelled schools to allow men in girls' showers and sports, of lose federal funding.

I'm not necessarily in favor of this, but again, I have to ask: why is this proposal only for banning transgender athletes out of women's sports? What about transgender athletes in men's sports? Why is Trump being so discriminatory (as if that surprises anyone).

Because there are not women pretending to be men are not trying to compete in men's sports.

 

And because it was Biden's amending of Title IX that compelled schools that accept federal funding to allow men into girls'/women's showers and sports.

I think if there are showers and sports leagues designated as only men's and women's, the men's should only be open to men and the women's only to women. The problem lies in how to determine if a person is a man or a woman. That determination should be set and made into law. Then, it will be the law and I will respect it, even if I disagree with it.

In any event, the sexes were defined in an earlier executive order. Trump can't make law, but there is a bill in Congress that will as make it clear as well.

Thanks for this, but just how do you determine d or e above unless you are observing this at conception? The rule and determination has to be made many years later, after the person has been born, and maybe not until they are mature.
