It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, world, about to get a whole lot madder under newly elected United States President Donald Trump.

The 78 year old alleged leader of the free world, not content with stirring a hornet’s nest by saying he plans to take over Greenland and make Canada a US state, yesterday, February 5, announced plans to build real estate on top of the blood and bones of the slaughtered Palestine men, women and child victims of Israel’s ethnic cleansing programme.

Trump unveiled his Gaza Strip plans, which he intends to brand the “Riviera of the Middle East,” during an Oval Office briefing at the White House. He was joined by Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been labelled a “war criminal” by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his role in the genocide of Palestinians.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.

“Level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings. Level it out and create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area.

“We’ll do a real job. Do something different. Just can’t go back. If you go back, it’s going to be the same way it has for 100 years.”

But that’s not all. Trump insists that Egypt, Jordan, and other Middle-Eastern countries take in and house the 1.8 million homeless or displaced Palestinian people as he begins his rebuilding programme.

Unsurprisingly, the international community roundly condemned Trump’s criminally crass comments.

Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American member of the US Congress, accused Trump of “openly calling for ethnic cleansing,” on X (formerly Twitter).

Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas strongly rejected any plans to displace Palestinians from Gaza.

“These calls represent a serious violation of international law. Peace and stability will not be achieved in the region without establishing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on the borders of 1967, based on the two-state solution.”

US Senator Chris Murphy took to X to say Trump had lost his mind.

“He’s totally lost it. A US invasion of Gaza would lead to the slaughter of thousands of US troops and decades of war in the Middle East. It’s like a bad, sick joke.”

US Senator Chris Van Hollen added that what Trump plans to do is tantamount to ethnic cleansing.

“Trump’s proposal to push two million Palestinians out of Gaza and take ‘ownership’ by force, if necessary, is simply ethnic cleansing by another name. This declaration will give ammunition to Iran and other adversaries while undermining our Arab partners in the region.”

Egypt’s foreign minister rejected the proposal, insisting that Gaza must be rebuilt without the displacement of Palestinians. He was joined by a chorus of world leaders who reaffirmed their support for a two-state solution in the region.

Hamas, currently engaged in a fresh round of ceasefire negotiations with Israel, dismissed the plans as “absurd” and “hostile.”

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stopped short of condemning Trump’s controversial proposal but reiterated Britain’s commitment to a two-state solution and emphasised the importance of maintaining the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.

“They must be allowed home, they must be allowed to rebuild, and we should be with them in that rebuild on the way to a two-state solution.”

IMG_5158.webp

France’s foreign ministry issued a statement reaffirming its opposition to “any forced displacement of the Palestinian population of Gaza” and insisting that no third party should control the territory. It stressed that a two-state solution is “the only path to guaranteeing lasting peace” for both Israelis and Palestinians.

In Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov asserted that a resolution in the Middle East can only be achieved through the implementation of a two-state solution.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry declared its rejection of “any attempts to displace the Palestinians from their land” and reiterated that it would not establish ties with Israel without the creation of a Palestinian state.

Both China and Australia reaffirmed their support for a two-state solution.

Turkey’s foreign minister warned that any plans excluding Palestinians from the equation would only fuel further conflict.

Evidence, if it was ever needed, that Trump has flown over the “Cuckoo’s Nest” in disregarding international law, and that he is the biggest danger to world peace, not Russian leader Vladamir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping or the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Trump, a convicted felon, a sex offender, and a former associate of human trafficker and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, may soon add “war criminal” to his growing list of transgressions if he pursues the ethnic cleansing of what remains of Palestine. Forced displacement is a war crime.

In the 1963 American comedy It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, a chaotic chase unfolds as a motley crew of strangers scrambles to claim a suitcase full of stolen cash. In the 2025 remake… oh, wait. It’s not a comedy. It’s all too real.

Suggest we look at these initiatives in the context of years drifting too far along woke/left ideology.

As far as Gaza in concerned, brilliant concept and let's see how it unfolds. Pumping $billions of western aid to extremist based societies to rebuild, only to allow them to continue their destructive agenda for both their own citizens and Israelis alike, will just lead to more conflict and further damage to Gaza. This could be the circuit breaker than ends up sorting the whole mess. Certainly giving everyone something to ponder, some shriek.

Above all is Trump is a negotiator, so we shouldn't take his opening gambit as a final position. He is pointing out the silliness of so many situation and disrupting them.

I don't like what he says but like what he does.

True buffoonery.

It's not WHAT he's doing, it's HOW he's going about it. He's performing what should be handled as delicate surgery with a rusty chainsaw.

The ICC issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu to stand trial for war crimes , they didn't label him as being a war criminal

I do believe that Benjamin Netanyahu didn't get found to be guilty of genocide in the ICJ court case , so it should be the alleged genocide of Palestinians .

The Gaza announcement gets the headlines and keeps Netanyahu happy because it keeps his rebellious ultra-Zionist coalition partners happy. At the same time, the Iran news which would send the ultra-Zionist into a fury has been buried.

The beauty of disruptors - even ignorant & irrational ones - is that they force other people to justify their long-held but frozen views on controversial matters.

Horrible though he is, Trump is a great disruptor. Proof of the pudding was on Netanyahu's nervous but frozen smile as he stood beside Trump. And the candles burning late in the night in Cairo, Amman & Riyadh.

Noone can tell what the outcome will be. But it will be different & possibly better than the outcome currently in prospect ie no change, more of the same, and more still.

And for that you can only blame the person standing next to Trump, who is of course Netanyahu. Get rid of him and all his murderous war cabinet and there may, just may be a chance of peace.

You, as a Dems sycophant, can not face the fact that President Trump is doing what he promised, something that is anathema with the Dems. President Trump is a breath of fresh air: the US is dumping the corrupt WHO, USAID, sanctuary cities, parts of the corrupt UN and challenging the narco-states and open border policy of the WEF 'Young Leader". He will win, quick time. You seem to be under some illusion that President Trump has started or is starting wars. Are you out of your Democratic mind? Or maybe you only believe what the MSM feeds you (probably intravenously).

You’re a loyalist !

Don't think so. Netanyahu hasn't been around for all the time since 1948. Nothing has changed since the 1960s - rebuild, fight, destroy, rebuild, fight destroy etc etc etc.

When in reality , he’s taking out Hamas and their radical sympathizers and casting them back to the stone age.

He and others have created a debate with Peace as a goal. Insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting different results isn’t a option.

Brilliant

No, he's making enemies of all the Palestinian people plus a considerable number of Arabs too.

He's an idiot, as are all his foreign policy announcements, making enemies wherever he goes

Granted, Trump is a crazy man, but the terrorists in Hamas caused all of this by murdering innocent Israelis.

And yes, Trump's plan is ridiculous and will never happen.

You could also argue that Israel caused this by occupying Palestinian land, ethnically cleansing Palestinians, and forcing Palestinians that remained to live under apartheid conditions in their own territory.

Two sides to every story...  🤷‍♂️
