It is one thing to be willing to accept Israel within the 1967 borders, which many people agree to, and is not an approval of Zionism. On the other hand, the "right to exist" formulation is an opening to an expansionist narrative, where a two-state solution is an anathema. In the US and UK, we have Christian Zionists who are more ardent for Zionist expansionism than moderate Jewish people.

 

People like the Evangelical Mike Huckabee (US Ambassador designate) even deny the existence of Palestinians. It's a continuation of the line first promoted in the late 19th Century: A land without people for a people without land.

 

There are figures around for immigration into Israel. I would be surprised if Safarti Jewish arrivals outnumber those from Europe including Russia and the US. 

 

Another thing to consider is how many Jews were present in Palestine when Muslim armies arrived in the 7th Century and how many converted to Islam.

A huge number of tourists are lining the pockets of hotel and restaurant owners, who are mostly Thais originally from the south, Bangkok or Chiang Mai, who have very little interest in things going back to normal.

I've been listing to death metal for years and I see Thai teenagers with band shirts on and see them for sale even from time to time. I'm certain they don't know the music which is already obscure but they just like the graphic depictions and logo art.

Maybe this is old news or I forgot but those 4 Israelis that broke into the emergency room in Pai are being deported now.  The comments on this video confirm other people seeing the same signs in other countries over decades. It's a pattern of behavior which led to this, Thai's just  become "anti-semantic" overnight and target them over some prejudice based on a conflict happening overseas.

It's young men fresh out military service I think. They may have been at war in Gaza last month and then when they do their time they come to Thailand to relax and have fun and that's when the problems start. If these were middle class or even older Israeli people this wouldn't be happening I'm pretty sure.

Pai is a tourist cesspit. The local people and culture has been ghettoized into the far corners of the valley. Between the hordes of tourists, rasta Thais from the south and pretentious Bangkok (and urban center)  douches with fancy hotels there's nothing left.

 

It will always be a lovely valley but it's totally spoiled I would say. Anyone who enjoys northern Thai culture should literally go anywhere else.

You may benefit from reading my comment again and taking note of the word "most". Not to mention that there is no genocide happening anywhere that has anything to do with Israel. That is, unless you redefine what "genocide" means as well as redefine the goals of what Israel is doing.
