I find a couple hits makes the walk more enjoyable. Like 1.5 hr walk

There was a day.  Nowadays it doesn't do much of anything for me.  I enjoyed it back in the day.

Ditto.   Got  a stash here, that will last forever.  I smoke about 1/2 gr a month, if that, and only if I think it may help me enjoy a movie.  

 

Most are nothing but time killers, so it doesn't help much.

 

Gone are the days of looking forward to, or need to, smoke a doobie.  No stress, and no need to escape reality for a while.

 

A happy content person is a terrible customer for stimulant (alcohol & weed) suppliers.   Rarely do I think of either, or indulge.

Weed before any pleasurable activity can enhance the experience; walking, speaking with friends, music, movies, food, even just spending time online. But not consuming cannabis before sex is an abomination. The physical sensory stimulation increases from weed exponentially. And until you try it, you can't comment on it.

Are they legal? Where to buy? Cost ?What dose for a beginner? Anything to look out for? Do they help with pain the way people report smoking? Anything else I should know?

The study, the largest of its kind ever to be completed, examined the effects of cannabis use on over 1,000 young adults aged 22 to 36 using brain imaging technology. The researchers found that 63% of heavy lifetime cannabis users exhibited reduced brain activity during a working memory task, while 68% of recent users also demonstrated a similar impact.

This decline in brain activity was associated with worse performance on working memory – the ability to retain and use information to perform tasks. For example, working memory allows a person to follow instructions they’ve just been given or to mentally visualize and manipulate information, like solving a math problem.

it's removed a few aches and pains in my experience but i'm not as old as most on here, i just like being high, that's the main reason for my consumption.

 

dosage is something you'll need to figure out on your own, buy various edibles start small and see what suits you, you'll soon figure it out.

 

remember, no one has ever died from cannabis overdose so don't be too worried.

I read this as well. I can relate with anecdotal evidence from my life experience as a heavy smoker.

Officially they're only legal if they contain a very minimal amount of THC, 0.2%. But of course that is useless.

They're sold in many shops as well as online. Very important is the dosage though, because although it's never physically dangerous, overdosing can get really uncomfortable. I'd start with 10mg and see how that works. Give it at least 2 - 3 hours to kick in. You will build up tolerance when using it more often, so you could increase dosage overtime. And make sure they know what they're selling when you buy.

The effects are different than when  smoking because the THC is processed by your liver which then releases a different chemical compound called 11-hydroxy-THC. 

I enjoy it more these days than smoking. It relaxes me. It could help cope with pain too.

Could you please explain a "couple hits"? Is it to do with alcohol, smokes, or a couple of visits to one of these short time rooms?

I agree an ocean beach walk is wonderful. A few hits makes for some interesting thoughts about life and family. Is it necessary? Absolutely not.
