A man passed away at Vachira Phuket Hospital on 9 February, after being trapped under a car following a collision on the roads of Kathu district, Phuket.

The incident occurred when the elderly motorcyclist was struck by a car, leaving him stuck beneath the vehicle. A group of bystanders quickly rushed to the scene and worked together to lift the car off the man in a desperate attempt to free him.

Footage shared by local news outlet “Phuket Times” shows the white car, with the motorcycle lying nearby, as community members urgently lift the vehicle to release the trapped rider. Despite their efforts, the man’s injuries were severe, and he was rushed to Vachira Phuket Hospital for treatment.

Sadly, despite doctors’ best efforts to save him, the elderly man passed away due to the severity of his injuries.

The incident has highlighted the quick response of locals in attempting to assist, though the outcome remains tragic. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, and the identity of the victim has yet to be publicly confirmed.
