Thanks for that. Yes, I was trying through the debit card.

I had the same issue, as soon as I registered it worked fine.

  • It would be convenient if you have retained your previous passports or even photos/copies to take along to Asoke as well.

  • You didn't even bother to keep the bank passbook? It would appear that a "few thousand baht" didn't really matter to you.

  • And possibly a Residence certificate   bank accounts will be like gold dust, i would certainly do this, half a day there and back would be worth it

Tried to register but got message saying:

"Please add your account linked to this card on K PLUS application prior to registering for online shopping accordingly"

I guess K PLUS is their online banking... and to get that it looks like another trip to KBank with my passport. Ha, ok.

Yes, KPlus is the app.  But no need to go to the bank for that, just download it and register. Easy.

K BIZ is completely up to date, it is not "old stuff", it works fine.

Last month I opened an account with Bangkok Bank with my passport and copy rental agreement. I was slightly surprised that they did not ask for a certificate of residence.

I also opened an account with Krungthai recently. Passport with 1 year visa,  electricity bill and title of my own condo were sufficient.

Take it to a local Kbank in Pattaya, they will sort it out, and get them to add your new number, the one at the big Lotus are good and helpful, the sim must be registered to you.

Can I do everything KPLUS does with KBIZ? Any qualifications to get it?

I'd prefer to do my banking through a browser and my rooted phone has problems with banking apps. Thanks

I used to use it years ago but found it cumbersome.  It certainly doesn't (didn't) do everything, QR payments for instance.  I stopped with it when I got KPlus so maybe it's better now.  I don't recall there were any special requirements to get it but I see now that to register for it you need to already have KPlus on a phone!

All you have to do is register on the K BIZ website.   Everything that can be done is there, why not try it for yourself?

EDIT: Just seen someone else's post regarding applying through K PLUS, perhaps the procedure has changed since I registered on K BIZ but you know how to find out, don't you?!
