In an unusual turn of events in Sattahip, police intervened to prevent a possible roadside incident involving a man found asleep next to his Hello Kitty-adorned motorcycle. The concerned report of his condition led officers to the scene near Chumphon Garden, where they encountered the man, an ice delivery business owner in his 40s.

The distinctive red Honda Scoopy parked awkwardly against traffic drew attention not only for its position but also for the oversized Hello Kitty plushie fixed to it. The officers, understanding the potential for danger, awoke the intoxicated individual who had fallen asleep nearby.

Panicked and groggy, the man hastily attempted to sober himself with inhalers, claiming he was fit to ride. However, mindful of both his immediate safety and that of the public, the officers decided on a practical yet empathetic resolution.

One officer drove the whimsical scooter, with its owner unsteadily positioned as passenger. The accompanying officer ensured their safe transit back home, a distance of only 2 kilometres. This coordinated effort prioritised safety over punishment, illustrating the local police's commitment to maintaining public welfare through kindness and understanding, reported The Thaiger.

And will this idea of driving the drunk home also be applied to tourists or will they still get extorted for a fortune?
