IPTV Buffering

Can someone explain why IPTV buffers / freezes say for 1 minute but then starts again from where it stopped ? Is it the IPTV companies server or my set up ? 400 Mbps download and same upload

It could be your setup or the IPTV providers setup  or any other link in the chain between  the 2 of you,   if you are half a world apart  then there will be many  intermediary servers between you and the IPTV provider  any one of which can cause the buffering......want guaranteed no buffer ?  then download to local USB drive or NAS server in your control first and watch it from there.

It's a mystery of life, most likely IPTV servers, but could be a temporary issue with your broadband, happens to 3BB sometimes

It's an internet problem, pure and simple. Either with your ISP and/or VPN or your IPTV providers ISP or VPN

Did you ever see an iptv service promoted that didn't say, we are the best, guaranteed no buffering?

Not using a VPN . When I get buffering it will be on all the IPTV channels . However , if I do a speed test , the results are plenty enough to do streaming . Strange thing is that the buffering can even happen at 04 00 am morning time . So not much demand for Internet at that time . My one suspicion is that my ISP is a small business subcontractor who I believe is using his own servers which may be low quality .

Thanks , I had a look and a low price compared to other IPTV companies . My only concern is the payment method . I always shy away from giving bank card details on line . My preference is Paypal that does not use the family and friends method . ( No security )

Try using a paid for VPN. An ISP cannot be a small business subcontractor they are major national businesses that are licensed by the NTBC of Thailand.

You're obviously paranoid, you give your bank card to paypal online, there's no difference. Also you are protected against fraud by your bank and credit card provider.

Paid VPNs don't cause buffering. Free VPNs are slow, and that combined with the Wi-Fi because you use your phone, and the free streaming apps you use, it will become unusable.

Paid vpns do buffer, mine does, they are better at different things, like streaming, security etc

My ISP has subcontracted from 3BB . I spoke to 3BB who confirmed that they did not control the service to my house and that I must deal with the local business that uses their cables .

Paranoid ? No , just aware and careful .  PayPal do provide financial protection greater than that of banks .

Have no problem with my IPTV. have 400Mb too, no VPN, and obviously no throttling of the bandwidth from my ISP.

2 years ago I tested quite a lot of IPTV providers. There is no perfect IPTV. The only ones working had a decreased picture resolution meaning that sharpness was decreased. I guess this is the only

way to provide a service with less buffering.

Nothing wrong with the resolution. I use Smarters Pro on a Galaxy Tab 10+ and use SmartView to beam it to a 55" TV.

I had Smarters Pro on my TV and the resolution was not ok for certain providers. Of course you can watch it, but it is not HD. Other providers had real HD and Ultra HD but sooner or later buffering occurred or even a complete stop requiring a restart.

You're right, it's not HD, it's 4K in some cases or FHD. 

Also, Smarters is installed on my tablet, not my TV.

IDK if it is the ISP or the IPTV provider that is more to blame for buffering, but when I ask Wizz TV….

4K or FHD on your tablet will not be the same on a large TV at all.  It is a question of the monitor size. That's why for example Netflix charges much less on a phone or tablet in comparison to a large TV.

Wrong again!  I was watching a series last night, and let's just say, it was top quality. The bottom line is, I'm getting value for money. There's a big difference between 4k and HD  and I don't watch HD now, or have to.

I can only say that I tested at least 10 different providers and while some worked well for a while non did so in the long term. This does not mean that there might be one provider not tested by me who has a better service. To say that I am wrong is a bit of an overstatement.

Yes, out of 10 providers I tested 7 for a period of  12 months. Some were ok, but none were perfect.
