In an alarming turn of events, a businesswoman, known as Noong, reported a staggering loss of over 1.6 million baht worth of construction equipment during a store relocation, only to find the missing items at a police officer's home.

Noong, who runs a tool supply store in Nakhon Ratchasima's Mueang district, had been struggling with the sluggish economy, prompting this recent move in December. She hired Por, a police officer and acquaintance, to assist with the logistics. Por recruited two more men, Tor and A, for the task.

During the relocation, a significant portion of her inventory vanished. Despite repeated inquiries, Tor claimed ignorance, while Por allegedly skirted around the issue. When she visited Por’s house, she shockingly discovered her missing merchandise and personal items there. However, Por refused to return them unless she paid 23,000 baht for the moving services.

Noong filed a police report on February 4, concerned not only about recovering her items but also the seemingly slow investigative progress. Her financial situation is dire, worsened by pressure from suppliers demanding payment for the vanished goods.

Desperate for a resolution and worried about the potential sale of her equipment, Noong turned to the media, urging the police to expedite their investigation before her financial woes deepen, reported The Thaiger.
