Even after reading the latest press release concerning TrueVisions forthcoming coverage of the EPL I'm still confused. Obviously it will become clearer after the coming weekend. Won't it? Another thing that puzzles me is the statement that Platinum Package subscribers will be able to get live coverage of all 380 matches in the season. They appear to have channels 61-64, and 68-69 allocated to the EPL. That's 6 channels. So what happens on the final day of the season when all 10 matches kick off at the same time?

Matbe I'm wrong on this but I dont think True say every ELP match will be shown LIVE. meaning 'Live' as we think of it.I expect some to be live ie UK kick off time ..the others shown later. Before their shedules said abc v xyz ..Live,when they obviously were recorded and shown later.

I can record matches but not 10 at the same time.

Yes, you are correct. Re-reading their press releases they don't specify live coverage of every match. So there is no difference between their new coverage and the coverage previously offered by ESPN/STAR Sports where every EPL match was eventually shown over a period of days.

I do wish that they would list the matches due to be broadcast on the special channels. Their schedules carry details of matches on channels 61-64, but not the other ones.

As you say thaireg , it should become a lot clearer after this weekends games.

Fingers crossed somchai and the boys don't balls this one up :o .

Only a few more hours to wait and see how Somchai and his boys perform. Surely even they can't <deleted> this one up? However......

In theory, and according to their web-site, it goes something like this tonight..: :o

Ch.61 True Sport 1: 18:45 Sunderland v Tottenham

Ch.61 True Sport 1: 21:00 Bolton v Newcastle

Ch.63 True Sport 3: 21:00 West Ham v Manchester City

Ch.63 True Sport 3: 23:15 Aston Villa v Liverpool

Ch.69 True Sport Extra 1: 21:00 Everton v Wigan

Ch.70 True Sport Extra 2: 21:00 Derby v Portsmouth

The 2 games being advertised on ESPN for showing today are Bolton/Newcastle at 9pm and A Villa/Liverpool at 1115 pm.

The Newcastle game should be very very interesting. Owen will probably break a leg :o

I think Owen is already out injured, took (yet another) knock in training!? :o

How much faith one should put in the True/UBC schedules on their web-site is anyone's guess... but for info, their not showing any matches as being on ESPN or STAR.. Tomorrows matches are on True Sports 1 and True Sports 3 apparently..

True/UBC Schedule Search

These are the matches scheduled for Channel 68, TrueSports 5 for the next few days,

11th Aug 18.45 Sunderland v Spurs 21.00 Middlesbro v Blackburn

12th Aug 18.00 Arsenal v Fulham

14th Aug 02.00 Spurs v Everton

15th Aug 02.00 Reading v Chelsea

These are not in the UBC schedule on their website, but are being listed on the Channel 68 promo currently being shown on Channel 68.

Interesting that the Spurs v Everton match is actually being played at 2am on 15th August and the Reading Chelsea match is 2am on 16th Aug. If True want to show them 24 hrs earlier then so be it.

It looks like they be might right on that..

Tues 14/08 Tottenham v Everton K/O BST 20:00 would be 02:00 15/08 here in Thailand

Weds. 15/08 Reading v Chelsea 20:00 BST 02:00 16/08 Thai

I hope they'll be showing the Portsmouth v United game on one of their fancy new channels....

Well I lasted 30 seconds watching somchai and his "football expert" doing their pre-match build up.

I'll miss John Dykes , Steve Mcmahon , Gerry Armstrong and even Paul Masefield ( nid noi :o ).

At least we still get the games live and ( fingers crossed ) with english commentary.

I don't think I can stand watching the guy who stuck his fingers in the electrical socket for the next nine months,

However its probably just as well I don't speak Thai as they know three eighths of F@uk all about Football I reckon

I'm getting my coat now

They might know something, but I doubt it's very much...

Moment of truth is here!

p.s. just before I was going to post this, English commentary came on....

I must admit I did enjoy flicking through the channels and getting to watch all the games live in english commentary.

It made up some what for having to listen to somchai and sparky :D .

T.P - I can speak thai mate and can tell you that you were right to grab your coat :o:D .

I thought the coverage on True now of the EPL for the games themselves is better than before.

Generally can choose to watch "live" with English commentary any game.

And the matches themselves for the coverage are uninterrupted.

However:

Pity about the so called pre show, half time etc being in Thai with "Sparky and Somchai"; bit like Itchy and Scratchy from the Simpsons, eh?!

They are clueless and some of us even with some Thai speaking ability ain't got a clue what they are talking about.

At least with the ESPN mob they had an idea some of the time what they were saying.

And what is it with the Thai's they have this ability to make anything boring!?

Though suppose there is the likes of "Football Focus" in English during the week.......

One thing that always makes me laugh with Thai TV, is that True Visions have spent loads of money buying the rights to the EPL and have so called educated people working for them. However, they still manage to have Aston Villa's manger listed as "Matin O'neil" on their caption. :o If their going to do it, at least do it right! :D

English spelling mistakes made by educated thais :D:D ??????? , surely not :D:bah: .

Have to agree that Somchai and Sparky are hardly the brightest stars in the sky when it comes to football. At least we had the English commentary for the games, but the next 9 months of these jesters isn't going to be fun. :D

Have to put up with them again tonight as well :o

:o:D:D .....right Nikkijah....not everything....haha.....I forgot that!!!!!!!

have a nice day.......

ps by the way looks like Spurs with all the money spent will be no where near the top 4, right?

I think bringing back the awful red test screen when Somchai and Sparky are on would be a practical idea. Agree?

Does anyone know of any bars that have the Platinum package, so that I can watch the mighty Sunderland take on the even mightier Wigan next Saturday at 9pm? It's on channel 70 (Truesport Extra 2).

You lot are lucky...

My block doesn't allow UBC (I'm moving next week.) so I have the cable channel. One of the dodgy Indian sports channels clicked to the SA channel for the games last year, which was great.

Yesterday I got the Newcastle game only, today only the Chelsea game. The missus has gone to the temple for a few days so I was geared up for the Man U game, but instead, have an exciting SA league game Platinum Stars V Cosmos. I hate this country... :o

One weekend and they have CULT status already. I think I spelt that right.

Yep even Shevy Sing was actually better to watch than these boys.

Imagine this when the Champions League games are on :o one unhappy customer...It was bad enough I missed most of the World Cup because UBC didn't get the rights now True Visions ruin the whole felling of the EPL with blue brothers...

Amazing how the little things can seriously make one consider going back tot he cold weather, maybe :D
