In defiance of Trump, I think Nato should put troops on the ground in Ukraine.

Trump and Vance are playing their tit for tat games.

Zelenski hasn't signed away generations of his countries resources.

Why doesn't Nato send 50,000 troops to Ukraine now. Fight and push out Russia. Ukraine's troops leave Russia

Putin will not do anything. He's all talk.

I think you have that statement back to front;  it should IMO read; "Zelensky is on the cusp of losing the entire country because of Trump's and Vance's tantrum with/against him".

Putin is losing men that he will need one day to grow the economy. A huge show of force by NATO, or just EU members, might push him to reconsider.

He will sign what Trump tells him to, and he will thank Trump for making him sign it. He did have the chance to save the country and keep his head held high, but no. Cheers dems.

The left is willing to incite WW3 because you're still upset about Russia's supposed role in the 2016 election.

Get over it already?

It's insanity. NATO doesn't send 50,000 troops to Ukraine now because they are not morons. They love to saber rattle and talk tough, but at the end of the day they know better.

I support Ukraine, and I would love to see them march on Moscow, kill Putin and demand a surrender.

But, Zelensky had the support of the US, and the support of most of Europe, and is at an effective stalemate after three years, a million dead and wounded, and after a quarter of Ukraine's population have fled the country.

What is going to be different now?

Why should US taxpayers pay for what is going on in the Donbas?

50,000 bodybags, even purchased in bulk from AliBaba, would break their budgets.

If NATO wants to invade Russia, should they not stop buying energy from them first?

NATO does not by gas from Russia.

Certain countries who are members of NATO may be doing so.

So, do you not think NATO members that are buying it should stop or not?

Strap on your boots and get out there, dont mistake them for the oversized clown shoes in your closet. I am sure you have watched Rambo twice, so you are qualified.

I think it's a great idea.  I hope the UK, France, and Germany put their entire forces on the ground in Ukraine. Right to the front.

And the other 40,000?

What if Putin then drops a bomb on a UK city or French city. Are Nato then going to declare war on a nuclear power? Are they capable of doing that .... when it clearly looks like there is no American support.

Personally they need to be careful.

They've made their point - and probably hurt Russia enough now for them to not contemplate doing it again anywhere else.

Personally no need for boots on ground. Ukraine isn't worth destroying the world over.

Over the past few weeks i have had so many people come up to me from their experiences in Ukraine, describing how racist society was there for them before the invasion - that i am loosing my sympathy. One indian guy said when the war started and people were fleeing on the trains, him and other fellow Indians were told to get out of the trains and kicked out the train stations as it was for Ukrainians only - despite living there for generations. Heard stories before that too.

What if Putin drops bombs on them ? What would we do then?

First and foremost make sure that your sons and grandsons are putting their boots into Ukraine. It's one of the most glorious events for a soldier to die, for parents to bury them - the pride in your chest will be totally off the charts.

Trump served his country in the same unit and for the same enlistment period as Biden, which, strangely enough, is the exact same unit and time frame that Zelensky served what's left of his country.

I was referring to the peace keeping army you said should be deployed into Ukraine. If Russia don't agree to it, then it's not really a peace keeping army is it? If they then drop a bomb on them, what then ? Do we then attack Russia?

It's easy for this to esculate is my opinion.

In April 1968, Joe Biden received a draft notice as he was about to graduate from law school; but after a medical examination he was reclassified by the Selective Service System as "1-Y", not available for service except in national emergency, due to having had asthma as a teenager.

Don't think Zalesnki has served either. Neither has Putin or Trump.

Putin was a Lt.Col. in the KGB, stationed in Dresden, doing what many military folk do.  I suppose that counts.

The agency was a military service governed by army laws and regulations, in the same fashion as the Soviet Army or the MVD Internal Troops.
