There will always be ignorance and prejudice thinking. This is because people weren't taught respect for others in childhood. You'll always have people behind you who know better. Let them be the way they are, and avoid toxic people. They aren't worth your time or worry. Hitler died but there are still those who thought his thinking was good. They're wrong.

True, but the treatment of the Palestinians by Israel for the last 70 years is wrong as well, especially in the present war by killing 47000 Palestinians.

You must have come across news from Thai channels, right? That’s why you’re asking about this. LOL. News from Thailand has 0% credibility because it has already been bought by Muslim investors. They attack Buddhism every day, and lately, they’ve started attacking Jews in Pai.

Funded by USAID no doubt. I saw the news about that its in my list to read.

That number is terrible. Should be 100,000 and climbing until my fellow American is released.

It's unfortunate when people get swept up into hostilities they didn't create and don't promote.

This is by no means unusual in the world. It has been like that for most of humanity for most of history.

Hi, thank you for sharing your unique personal experience, with rather complex backgrounds.

I am sorry to hear about what has been happening to you in the past few years.

Have you thought about possible relocation to somewhere else in Thailand if the current location makes you feel uncomfortable for something you are not responsible for?

What about non kosher Jews.? Thanks in advance for outing.

My final conclusion is it'd be less eventful to walk around Bangkok with a star of David necklace and a Keepah than discuss being Jewish in chat forums such as this.

Whatever, but on to the important issue.

How do you feel about the anti-cilantro brigade?

I don't understand why antisemitism is being normalized but Islamophobia is being cracked down on hard.

Isreal, despite its faults, is a secular democratic country that tolerales others from all religions, creeds and persuasions... which can't be said for the other side.

Try to remember who kicked off the current round of hostilities by instigating a wave of killing that took 1200 people's live and more hostages. Also, if Hamas were truely Islamic, they they would have followed the teachings that to do something that causes great damage to themselves is unIslamic... that's Hamas for you... blood-thirsty fanatics.

The reason no Arab countries will let the Patestinians in is because of what happened to Lebanon and Jordan when they did... was chaos. If the Arabs won't let them in, then why should anyone else? Only the far-left idiots in the West can't see reality.

Thing is - you could ask the same question to Indian and Brit tourists, both of which seem to be in the news quite a bit for all the same wrong reasons as Jews/Israelis lately - antisocial, fighting, insulting to local Thai sensibilities, etc. That's just an example.

I doubt Thais know much about Jews or their religion, other than Thai workers in southern Israel were taken hostage and some killed by militants from Gaza. Thais put up with all of us here - regardless of where we are from - and they couldn't care less to know about where we're from. That's because they see money flowing from tourism. Otherwise, they couldn't care less. I've lived here as long as you, and that's my take.

Regarding the Halal food. I'm neither Jewish nor Muslim, but I once worked briefly in the Middle East and clearly remember an educated Iraqi guy (doctor) telling me that he (and others) believed it was fine to eat in a Jewish restaurant, but not sleep beneath their roof. Don't know why. A protest against Palestine land grab I guess. But I don't really know. (but yes, the Halal food is pretty good in Thailand - Lebanese especially).
