Pattaya City is set to celebrate a spectacular 2025 with its renowned Wan Lai Naklua and Wan Lai Pattaya festivals. Known for lively water-pouring ceremonies and cultural showcases, these events promise vibrant experiences.

Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Rermkijakarn led the planning meeting at Pattaya City Hall. The festivities start on April 18 at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park with Wan Lai Naklua. Events will feature Buddhist chanting, almsgiving, and the sacred bathing of Buddha statues. Visitors can also enjoy a traditional water-pouring ceremony, cultural performances, and a grand floral parade with Miss Universe and Miss Grand.

The following day, April 19, the Wan Lai Pattaya festival takes place at Wat Chai Mongkhon. Activities include food offerings to monks, Thai cultural performances, retro dance shows, and traditional games like tug-of-war. A floral float parade and sand pagoda building on Pattaya Beach will conclude the day.

While past celebrations resulted in significant waste, city officials aim to focus more on traditional and religious aspects this year, moving away from chaotic water fights. Last year's festivities left 20 tonnes of litter, and officials are determined to manage this better in 2025. However, with the promise of dazzling events and rich cultural heritage, this year's Wan Lai celebrations are expected to captivate tourists and locals alike, reported The Thaiger.

Fun and Games - known by the Romans already. For anyone with common sense; stay indoors at home or leave Pattaya during the silly days - everything else is a complete waste of time
