When they come to install the line do they bring a splitter?

If not, which I guess is the case, where can I get one from? Do lotus/tesco/carefoure do them? Cant be assed with going to pan tit.. :o

There should be one splitter/filter included with the modem they sell you. They say more can be bought from TRUE office. I just ran phone line direct to modem/splitter and a return line to house phone lines so cover three phones with one filter. I have never seen in Tesco or such places. My local Lotus now keeps printer paper under lock and key! :o

hmmz.. problem is I already have a 3rd partie router/modem.. Does the guy that comes to install the line have some in his van?

If you are talking the home service where you are limited to one computer and a choice of three USB modems all he would be involved with would be installing a routine phone line so kind of doubt it. I already had a line so can't answer.

The tech doesn't give you anything. If you don't already have a splitter, you're out of luck. Go to IT Mall and get one, it's MUCH better than going to Pantip.

Another thing is that you don't need to have the tech set up anything if you already have a router/modem. It's not hard.

all installed today, I ended up having to get my own splitter as I never got the modem off them.. Beats the old 56k, but there DNS leaves a lot to be desired, anyone got an alternate address? :o
