Trump is teetotal.

He knows as much about holding a wine glass as he does about holding a rifle.

Trump spent five years at New York Military Academy (NYMA), starting in fall 1959.

You are talking of acts of war.

Canada as a member of NATO can call on all other members to assist in its defense.

It's possible, like your nom-de-plume, you have been hit in the head too often.

Like I said in the previous post "Just like a leftist moron to take my post as serious suggestion."

Of course it would be akin to an act of war. I would be surprised if our generals would obey an order like that. It would be political suicide for Trump

As far as NATO though. Canada could call all they wanted but nobody would answer.

I think I can pick the difference between brain farts and sarcasm.

I don't know if you have noticed Trump is installing people in every position he can reach, who have only one qualification - absolute loyalty.

What makes you think the military would be exempted?

Funny,  The Duke of Bourbon came from France and we named a whiskey after him.

Not really. The French were busy trying to colonize central North America to the early 1700's, from Baton Rouge, up the Mississippi and way further into Canada, (including Tennessee).

TBF it is not formal military training by the armed forces. This academy is a private boarding school where students are are prepared for college. Cadet students may also take part in a military leadership program.

President Trump threatened the EU with a 200% tariff on imported wines, champagnes, and other alcoholic products if the bloc did not remove a duty on whiskey.

He posted on his Truth Social platform:

The European Union, one of the most hostile and abusive taxing and tariffing authorities in the World, which was formed for the sole purpose of taking advantage of the United States, has just put a nasty 50% Tariff on Whisky. If this Tariff is not removed immediately, the U.S. will shortly place a 200% Tariff on all WINES, CHAMPAGNES, & ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS COMING OUT OF FRANCE AND OTHER E.U. REPRESENTED COUNTRIES. This will be great for the Wine and Champagne businesses in the U.S.

Psst, Trump, the US doesn't have a champagne business, since champagne is produced in France only. At best the US has some mediocre sparkling wine.

Depends how you define champagne. Anyway, hardly worth this kind of comment.

One of their most peculiar beers is Stroh's. I asked the bartender if he was joking.

It looked like water with a head of foam.

Why should Trump allow Europe to impose around 20 to 21% VAT and plus other customs duties when the USA was imposing far less ?

Do any Trump haters have a sense of humour? Perhaps Trump, when he took up residence in their heads, occupied the bit of the brain that deals with humour.

I think hes referring to the fact that the Euros impose protectionist rules on product names so Champagne can only be made in France and that we have an agreement that only French Champagne can be called Champagne, except Korbel and Cooks, which are American Champagnes and labeled as such, but if it has bubbles, most folks call it Champagne here, so this topic is probably the stupidest example of Trump hate ever seen here and thats saying a lot.
