IMHO, and the US Army's opinion...

These tests say a LOT.

Only necessary to read the tons of data available on the Internet.

If you are saying that:  The average citizen of PNG, living in the jungle, is smarter than the top undergrads at HARVARD, then you may be correct.  There is a very wellknown Harvard prof that argues this point.  And, he may be right.

When the balloon goes up, it will be the backwoods rednecks and Eskimos who survive. Plus all of Cambodia. They know what stuff is edible even if it isnt in a package.

There is nothing wrong with my keyboard, if there was, I would buy a new one, if I didn't, I would live a sad and lonely life.........😥

You better reread that a few times hahahahahah 5555555555 OMG.

Let me help:

"There is nothing wrong with my keyboard." That is the present. Your keyboard is working. That is the subject, a keyboard. Next you say "If there was [something wrong with my keyboard] I would buy a new one". Since you used a comma, your statement of future intention relates to what would happen if there was in fact something wrong. You go on to say " I didn't [have a broken keyboard], I would live a sad and lonely life" Here your use of the word didnt relates to the condition of your keyboard. If it was broken, you would buy a new one, but if it is working, you lead a sad and lonely life.

You thus admitted what I said. Isnt reading comprehension fun?

Try working with single thoughts and periods.

I disagree with you Charlie.

I think the main issue in Thailand is how they handle criticism when they do something wrong.

They act like petulant children, especially in a work setting...

I read the other day that the average IQ in Thailand is 89.

What do you think that says when it is extrapolated across the population as a whole?

bob.

What a very strange lead post!!!

In our society we are indoctrinated from birth that our wife will be loyal and faithful and supportive.

Doesn't matter how smart you are, indoctrination nearly always wins.

Only experience allows us to break free, they will be unfaithful, they will asset strip you, they will bear false witness against you, they will deny you access to your children, NONE are different, it's in their genetic programming. Only fear of extreme punishment (or lack of opportunity) will stop this.

Allowing it to happen a second time is what sorts smart from stupid!

In Muslim countries where women gain nothing from divorce, and death from cheating, there is neither divorce nor cheating.

What would you do about it if your current Thai wife cheated on you? Or do you have an open marriage?

You are on record as cheating on her multiple times.

News to me there is no divorce in Muslim countries.

She can do what she likes during the day, but I've bought all her nights

Thais have a completely different way of looking at the world, and a completely different way of relating to the world, and it makes it very difficult for us to truly evaluate their intelligence, but I think we consistently underestimate them.

....I don't think we do.

Very few Thais manage to 'make it ' in the west, yet many farangs manage to make it in Asia.

Why?

it's because Thais only know Thailand and the thai way of doing things.

Their peripheral view is severely limited when it comes to globalism.

Yep, smarter than the average Thai, American, and European.

I have a master's degree in software engineering from Oxford University (Trinity). I won't list the other qualifications.

I was a freelance software engineer for thirty years and worked for many large international companies in Germany, the USA, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK.

In addition, I had a large 200-seat Thai Restaurant near London for 27 years.

I also had properties developed which was a good business.

I did start a few years late after leaving school at fifteen years old, it is called the "university of life" by some, I realised how crap such a 'university' is so I went back to school, then to a real university and never looked back.

I am not saying this to show off, but if I claim like many others that I consider myself more intelligent than the average Thai then I have to show why I think that.
