According to Dr Thakoon, "Bariatric surgery is often a crucial intervention for individuals who find weight loss through traditional methods challenging or face severe health implications due to obesity."

 

Since the introduction of these specialised surgeries in 2015, Vachira has built a renowned centre of excellence for bariatric procedures.
