Work Permit Photos - can't wear glasses

Featured Replies

I'm at the new One Bangkok 'One Stop Service' for my annual work permit renewal.

I actually need to change the book as there's some water damage to it - and they won't accept ID photos if you are wearing glasses/spectacles!

Seems to be a rule change....or they're just being stricter.

Also, you can't show your teeth at all in the photos (so no extreme smiles in the Land of Smiles!)

It's now called TIESC (formerly One Stop Service).

Also here is LTR and regular visa service for BOI etc.

To get to it you take the lift to the 5th floor in the Parade building, and then an escalator near Cafe Amazon up to the 6th floor (well signposted). There are lots of food places in here on the 5th floor.

Also attached QR code to apply for an appointment in advance.

Service was a bit slow - it took over 2 hours before we could submit documents after having arrived shortly after 9am.

Strikes me as little difference from the over-fussy requirements your home country no doubt prescribes for passport photos.

Nothing new in any of that. Same everywhere.

I think they are just starting to enforce their laws, not sure though. I know I had to remove my glasses for my passport photo. I checked my home country driver's license and I also had to remove my glasses for that id, too. Even on my Thai driver's license I had to remove my glasses.
