The Russians are looking at everything.

Are they looking under our beds ?

Yes of course they look at everything   the same as

"the 5 eyes" look at everything

remember the very recent Apple encryption debacle ?

I don't know? Ask Security expert Will Geddes who stated it. He'll tell ya!

Don't tell the hospital operating theatres that they are mistaken thinking the power resumes instantly in the event of a mains failure ( in fact it does ).

A source says it isn’t possible to switch the power back on immediately.

And even once the power is back one, there are countless systems which need to be rebooted and checked to ensure they are working properly and are stable'.

Sounds like a BS excuse for incompetence in designing the back ups.

Yes hospital operating theaters do have Uninterruptible Power Supplies, so do control rooms.

UPS back up to the critical systems within facilities is common practice, but it is not at all usual for large scale facilities to have complete UPS back up.

"All the hallmarks of" a phrase many of us will remember. It means the story is disinformation. Disgraceful to blame Russia for this, and after Starmers warmongering boots on the ground guff would it be surprising for Russia to do something like this to jolt weakling Starmer back to reality?

He has been exposed as a clout chasher and pornographer married to a Ukrainian.

Well they did say a while ago that  those providing arms and other support to Ukraine could be legitimate targets  if those weapons strike Russia, of course the warnings were ignored as usual, and I was ridiculed on here for even suggesting the scenario of strikes on EU capitals in retaliation.

But I'm still not sure this was anything than the breakdown of the UK in general across all aspects especially in this case due to the idiotic "net zero" policy.

Even if it was Russia, which is doubtful then that should be a lesson to keep out of Russian business in their backyard less we should be dragged into an unwinnable war which will ruin us all.

Is it true the backup generators were diesel emitting so closed down ? I'm reading this a fair bit on my X timeline, so taking it with a pinch of salt, but few prominent posters posting this.

I'm not buying the excuse that it takes time for a backup generator to get up and running. That doesn't it render it a backup at all then.

Richard Tice on GBNEWS balming it on net zero - but Reform take the Putin roubles so make of that what you will.

Source for that or are you just spreading unsubstantiated rumours ?

Had to read it twice,25000liters of cooking oil went up in smoke at the sub station

even once the power is back on, there are countless systems which need to be rebooted and checked to ensure they are working properly and are stable.

Jonathan Smith, LFB's deputy commissioner, said the fire at the electrical substation involved a transformer containing 25,000 liters of cooling oil.

The fire was "very visible and significant," he said.

The above from the BBC Websight, did anyone else know that transformers contain cooking ??, an accident waiting to happen, past tense, an accident that has happened.

I suspect foul play.

The power substation had a catastrophic fire that involved 24,000 liters of cooling oil. Ok, it is possible. However, what is questionable is;

1. Why didn't the fire suppression system work? Was it inactivated?

2. How did the  Heathrow backup generator manage to  be damaged at the same time? It was located in a building separate from the  substation. (by separate, meaning that there would have been firewalls.)

There has been significant resistance to the expansion of the airport operations including adding a runway.I will not be surprised if an opponent of the airport is implicated.

It's a mistype. They meant cooling oil.   Transformers use Mineral oil.

Thanks for that, Mineral oil, would make sense, used for cooling, but that does seem a lot of oil, but what I have seen of the fire, it was one big substation.

If it was Russia I'm not sure the powers that be would admit it. One to prevent panic and secondly because of what it would presage. It would be a warning of the chaos that would ensue if a hot war broke out. Starmer et al would be wise to take note if that was the case. This is not 1939 - the interconnectivity of modern societies and the rapid flow of information and misinformation would be a vertitable descent into soceital madness.

That's not a backup then is it ?

A backup is something that comes on straight away, not requiring days to set up.

This is why I just stay in my compound.

Here in my gilded compound, everything is nice and peaceful.

No need for me to worry about catching flights to here and there.

I have found peace in my compound, relative to the chaos outside.

Best decision I ever made.

Should have done this sooner.

Get used to this sort of thing, especially as relates to the US, Russia's new ally.  And let it sink in that the US and EU are no longer on the same side.

NEW YORK/BERLIN, March 19 (Reuters) - Several U.S. national security agencies have halted work on a coordinated effort to counter Russian sabotage, disinformation and cyberattacks, easing pressure on Moscow as the Trump Administration pushes Russia to end its war in Ukraine.
