You get lovely instagramy cafes in Thailand. But the actual state of the coffee is horrific.    Today, twice i had to send back my cup as it came back luke warm. You can never get a hot cup

Imagine sitting there, basking in the glorious sunshine with a nice breeze coming in from the side, enjoying a Cafe Latte - then all of a sudden short-Timer shows up...

it would ruin your day!

because I have a life.

...can you provide any proof of that?

Nothing sends the boomers into a frothing keyboard frenzy quite like the mere suggestion that someone under 40 might be living life on their own terms.

Whisper “digital nomad,” “influencer,” or heaven forbid, “remote work,” and you can practically hear the arthritic fingers hammering out outraged Aseannow comments.

God forbid a Soy-latte-sipping millennial lingers in a café longer than the allotted 37 minutes of boomer-sanctioned social decorum and suddenly it’s the apocalypse.

You’d think someone had defecated on their subscription to Readers Digest the way their blood pressure spikes. Their elasticated trousers barely hold under the strain of such modern blasphemy.

My favourite coffee shops are outside basic ones, often with a garden. Least favourite are inside AC sterile ones, like Amazon, but ok if no other choice

Same for me,

in Chiang Mai Hom Coffee on the moat (Moonmuang) does a very nice hot latte for 30bht, you can sit outside and watch the people pass by, coffee extra hot.

Then out in the jungle is 129 Coffee, when I'm out cycling early I can watch the cows walk by, but the coffee is tepid rather than hot (Latte 40bht).

Then there's LakeView Cafe, set in a public park next to MaeJo golf course (Latte 50bht), lake and mountain views and a jogging track around the lake, coffee is hot.

Today, twice i had to send back my cup as it came back luke warm. You can never get a hot cup of coffee.

In the UK when I went in to a cafe for breakfast, the tea (I don't like coffee) always came immediately which meant that by the time the breakfast came the tea was only slightly warm.

I then always asked the waitress to take the cup away and give me a fresh cup.

I really believe it was a ploy to get you to buy two cups, which never worked with me.
