I have, and that was at the time of the election, before Trump started his policies attacking farmers, attacking veterans, attacking social security, attacking Medicaid and now with more tariffs attacking all business and all consumers.

Attacking farmers &welfare ?? !!    So trumps policies are no different in who they attack from the policies of starmer / reeves     I'm surprised you are not in favour of them

anyone with a drivers license can vote. Why did it take so long for this to become a law

Presumably, someone thinks that people having to prove citizenship will impact the number of votes they will get.  🤷‍♂️

Any ID obtained before married will be tied to birth certificate, otherwise how would they be able to obtain that ID?

You are making up things much

That is not the interpretation accepted in Texas, and it is meant to become a national concept.
It can be fixed by getting a passport, but that is a 10 year document hassle that most people don't have - because they don't travel. If only used so as to allow women to vote, it is essentially another form of poll tax. (A concept that is unconstitutional.)

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to require to vote. I don't get to vote in Thailand, so why should a Thai get to vote in the US?

As usual, the wokeistas are having a brain melt as it reduces their chances of winning a government of their want.

I don't think theres much chance of this standing as trump has no authority over mandating any changes to voter rights, registration requirements or responsibilities as it lies with the States and the Board of Elections.

He can write all the executive orders he wants but many are already being held up by the courts and overturned and he's losing appeals already.

No one is melting down except you trumpettes trying to justify what the POS is doing and find some reason to support his delusional attack on everything and everyone he disagrees with. Sad and pathetic

If you truly believed it wasn't happening, you would have no objection to Trump's order.

You will see the fruits of such an order at the next election when the GOP win by an even bigger landslide.

How many court cases did Trump lose with the claims of voter fraud when he lost last time. Hmmm let me think, ALL of them!

You trumpettes1 really need to let the pack of lies dies as you are getting now where and have no support or proof to stand on.

I have no doubt that if he could, Trump would limit voting to only those he had vetted for loyalty to him. Some past RNC officials have stated such goals as they change voting laws. (They target the poor and students because their addresses are less stable, and hourly workers have financial disincentives to taking time to travel to register. Place those registration locations away from public transport and it is another barrier.) This latest Executive order is an affront to states rights over setting up elections, though at least if done by Congress (a voting rights act) it would have been negotiated in a more constitutional manner. This just seeks to authoritatively reduce eligible voters towards males with money - eliminating swaths of others.

This from the AP:
Millions of Americans don’t have appropriate documents readily available to prove their citizenship even though they are U.S. citizens. For example, in recent town elections in New Hampshire, which recently passed a proof of citizenship requirement, some women didn’t have proper documentation because they had changed their last name when they married. A current idea is to mandate that the name match, which indeed disenfranchises millions of women.
https://apnews.com/article/trump-executive-order-elections-voting-constitution-8908477167fd65dc9cd485e1fde5b804

Additionally, the EO require "all states to reject ballots not received by Election Day, directing the Justice Department to “take all necessary action to enforce” the requirement. The move seemed directly targeted at mail-in heavy states from California to Alaska."

In summary, these steps eliminate many women, and millions of other citizens lacking the current ID, and making mail in voting harder. BTW, it is already hard enough to receive my ballot as a US citizen residing in Thailand within the time frame allotted to mail it back.

No it doesn't.
What it does do is require you to be a responsible adult and get that taken care of if you want to vote.  Simple to do except for the lazy.

How in the world did that make mail in voting harder ? lol. They have to leave the house 5 days earlier to mail it ? wtf

The left - ohh noooo, nobody is allowing illegals to vote its a conthpiratheeee theoreee, and no way did we throw open the border to welcome in more freeloaders to vote dem.

How its going - its illegal to stop the illegals we welcomed in to vote for dems from casting their illegal votes.

Good move by Trump.

Obviously the Dems want all the illegals they let in voting for them at the next election. Millions of votes appearing out of nowhere like in 2020.

Not gonna happen. Those days are over. Much like The Dems in fact.

Do you think the leftist activists pretending to be judges are gonna take aim at federal election voting?

It's easy to deflect to a foreigner not being able to vote, but what about an American in America without ID, you want to take away the Americans voting rights, right?

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that dramatically alters the U.S. election system by requiring individuals to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. The order also includes broad changes to mail-in voting and election equipment, raising concerns about potential voter disenfranchisement and the legality of such sweeping reforms.

Sounds like common sense. If you're a citizen you have the right to vote, non-citizens don't

US citizens can get an ID card easily so what is the problem?

You have to have a passport to travel, a driving licence to drive, why not ID to vote? Even in Thailand you need to prove you are entitled to vote in elections. We all know it's the Democrats who have been cheating the system for years.

So how come donald won then?

Is he a better cheater?

The problem, rather than focusing  on rules & consequences , the left has made it a virtue signaling  narrative!

The victims, if that is the correct phrase will always complain. Could it be the "victims" are illegals?

One could say that! That video was 6 years old!

The  left have been busy coddling the narrative for many years in anticipation of someone opening the floodgates for a mass migration of newcomers!
