A 21-year-old Tunisian tourist was arrested in Pattaya after a drunken rampage on Walking Street, where he held a Thai woman hostage with a broken bottle and threatened bar patrons. The man, clad only in underwear, accused the woman of stealing his money before restraining her and causing chaos. Police negotiated with him for over an hour before he fled into a nightclub, where he was subdued and arrested. The woman, a bar worker, denied the theft and said he only had 500 baht. The man now faces charges of public intoxication and disturbing the peace.
