  • I was going to earnestly answer your question, but.... when you make the ridiculous and baseless point above, nah.   Good luck.

  • You have no clue what your talking about. Racism is clearly a vital part of Trump cabinet and March orders he's issued. You can get in line with them since you seem to fit right in. Again you haven't

To those on this thread who think this isn't a real concern, you are not keeping up with the latest developments. This is more of an issue actually for those who have even better status than a 10 year visa. It's a big issue of concern for all green card holders now. If you don't believe this, just check with noted US immigration law firms (there are many on youtube), and the reports are pouring in of green card holders being denied entry to the US for a variety of reasons.

Thai citizens are mostly ok because it's not a country of concern largely for the Trump administration now, but attorneys are warning strongly that green card holders risk being detained and deported upon re-entry to the US now. This is really crazy stuff and shows how bonkers this administration has become.

But, for this OP, as his wife merely has the 10-year tourist visa, it's probably not a big issue because she has no right to reside in the US anyway, so they are likely not as concerned about this category of visa holder. Nonetheless, there is a big chilling effect on US tourism now as I read this morning as foreigners do not want to suffer the hassle of visiting the US.

If you are all legit with the right documents why would there be an issue?,she has a visa, been before,  Seems you're inventing a situation that isnt going to happen, too much believing the fear from your anti Trump media,  switch it off, fill the forms out and enjoy your trip.

(By your comments here I presumed you were gay. My mistake)

Thank you, that is very kind of you. I've always considered it to be an enormous compliment when people have asked me if I was gay.

U.S. Secretary of State Rubio has issued a statement that some Thai government officials, involved in the Uighyr relocation, are/have been/will be banned for travel to the U.S.

Some countries have declared travel advisories to their citizens visiting the U.S. Thailand, AFAIK, has not.

A Thai person - in this case a wife - should probably check with the MoFA to see of there are any issues. Wife should also check various Thai-centric forums for first-hand experiences. ANd you could check with the U.S. Embassy here.

If there were denials of entry, or detention and deportation, (of Thais) I think we'd have heard about those?

The situation is obviously fluid, and the current administration is quick to react to perceived slights and greivances, so one never knows how they might react.

You are correct and I think it's safe to say that Trump is the most thin skinned, sensitive, revengeful, and reactionary president America has ever seen. Hopefully, looking towards the future a mistake of this proportion will never happen again.

Can you explain this a little and maybe give an example?  I get the impression that Trump hasn't done anything negative towards American citizens, even if they are non-White.

Just a question: When Mike and his Thai wife arrive at a US airport, do they go through the same immigration officer channel or is she directed to the non-citizen channel?

Mrs. Shrdlu and I were processed together in the non-citizen channel last year when we visited the US,

We attempted to use the US-citizen channel as we had on previous occasions, but this time we were directed to use the non-citizen channel.

Trump and his cabinet members have a long history of racism, not just against minorities but women and countries abroad as well. Its all been documented to no end and available with a quick internet search. Pick your own site so you dont feel its biased or propaganda

Have seen the Video about the arrest of the Turkish Student yesterday, US Gestapo in full swing. Would be more than careful to travel to western Russia at the moment as a foreigner.

Just make sure she doesn't have an opinion about anything.

Why don't you just show us what you have read to make your initial claim about how Mike s wife will be affected going to America now with Trumps 'March orders'

I'm scheduled to go back to the US next month with my Thai wife she has a 10-year multiple entry visa, and she's been to the US several times. We've never had any problems before, however now that the goon is showing his racist and isolationist tendencies and discriminating against people from many nations and randomly denying them entry into the US, I wonder how concerned I should be?

Has anybody had any experience with this in regard to their Thai spouse gaining entry into the US within the last month or two?

Why dont you have the guts to wear your I Support Hamas and Hate Amerika T shirt when entering. So everyone knows how you feel. You have freedom of speech and you can report how it went.

No! She only supported Palestines, no  mention of Hamas. As far as I know Palestine people are not designated enemies of the US.

Not yet, anyway. Just wait until they get in the way of Trump's multi-billion dollar resort development on the Gaza Coast.

Plenty of examples.

President Trump is wrongly criminalizing anyone his administration suspects lacks legal status, leaving them susceptible to arrest by law enforcement. These cruel immigration enforcement actions have already resulted in reports of veterans and U.S citizens being detained, Native American Tribal members’ identities being questioned, deportations of pregnant women and children, and the detention of a father of U.S. citizen children who may now lose their home, to give just a few examples. The Trump administration’s approach rejects a commonsense prioritization of enforcement resources, directing the time and resources of law enforcement away from public safety threats to instead carry out “collateral arrests” of hardworking people who pose no danger to American communities. This ineffective immigration enforcement strategy is tearing families apart while making the country less safe.

These actions target people based on citizenship/immigration status.  They are not related to race.  For a policy to be racist, it needs to target people based on race.

These are your frist three comments, in the fourth you said Trump has always been a racist

So what has he done recently that will affect Mike & his wife entering Thailand

If I were you OP based upon your comments, I would be very concerned.  Probably best to cancel the trip.

If not, good luck.

I am really surprised you are returning to the good-ol-USA considering your hatred toward President Trump. Maybe you can join in the Tesla protests or join one of the globalist movements. I went through the process of getting a green card for my Thai wife and then a U.S. citizenship for her while living in Thailand. So why don't you?
