It's hard to say what the likelihood of military agression would be.

Anything is possible in this day and age. Trump is a rule-breaker. 

Carney is cozying up to Europe and moving away from the US.  Wonder what that means.

Carney says "the era of tight security and military cooperation is over", so yes they could go to war. But would any other countries back Canada?

I suspect a conventional invasion is unlikely, but I can anticipate grievances being stoked and created to justify a more specific "limited" involvement, for example to establish a land (or air) corridor to Alaska, or to secure/safeguarding electricity supplies to northern US States.

 

The case for these will be made over time, with many wails about "nasty countries" and orange Mussolini posturing ( have you noticed how he is working on the look? Late night screenings of Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" I wonder?).

 

If when he/they are confident that they have sidelined Canada from the rest of NATO and the West only then would they move.

Not if they have signed on to human rights or refugee conventions. That's the problem facing civilized countries  like the UK, Australia, Canada and the EU members. They all agreed in a different era to accept refugees fleeing harm.  They did not anticipate economic migrants  gaming the system.

The USA would have a difficult time waging war on Canada. Well in the opinion of this old fart, from the US, my opinion is that Trump may be at war with the Canadians but as far as I am concerned, that is only Trump and any stupid enough to follow him, as the Citizens of America know that Canada is the same at heart and has shown that they are a world class people too so it would be Trump and his amateur cabinet facing the Cannucks and these rich folks that Trump has given some power are all cowards at heart.  Threaten them by taking away their money if they go to war, then see how quickly they retreat!  US soldiers have fought side by side with the Canadians and sure won't follow a leader that is spineless (IMHO) anyway.

Yes you digress. You should focus on the  US blanket bombing of Hanoi and the illegal bombing of Laos and Cambodia first, since that is US owned.

 

As you have never served in a combat zone nor been at risk, you can join the rest of the MAGA blowhards huffing and puffing. Hegseth the  prison guard in occupied Cuba and PR clerk in Iraq  who did not see combat but reportedly invented a story about the rock that became an unexploded grenade, can lead you into battle.
