i have yet to see a single post which supports that  Trump is wrong on tariffs

I

Maybe because some people are in a wait and see mode.  I look out further than a one day event or "perhaps everything gets more expensive".   The markets have a tendency to react wildly at uncertainty.

If the market continues to sink and prices rise and it appears the world won't come to a reasonable agreement about tariffs in a few months THEN I will criticize Trump.  The problem with the left is it wants to critique before knowing the outcome.

I think Trump should take off tariffs on Israel, because they are taking off tariffs on us, although hes probably trying to score a deal on the Dome.

Typical right wing pavlovian response. I'm referring to hard science. Ya know, physics, chemistry, biology, climatology. geology, hydrology and so on and so forth. For example, Johns Hopkins had to let thousands of people go thanks to the cuts.

Mainly USAID cuts for foreign projects. AIDS has been around for more than 40 years. Foreign aid and relief has been sent continuously for at least that period to poor countries, from the USA and Europe. Should a country like India not be able to handle their own problems by now?

Funding for all kind of US research projects has been cut.

I'm becoming aware that you live in an alternative universe. Yes there was a big corruption problem. But hopeless. No. As for denizification. That was about the Azov brigade. And they were pretty much Nazis. But they were also fighting the russians and the separatists. During WW2, Russia was the USA's ally. Did that mean that the USA was communist. What's more, the Azov brigade or what's left of it is no longer a neo-nazi fighting force. But if it's neo-nazi fighting forces you want to look for, try the Russian army.

What makes thise charges particularly ridiculous is the the current President of Ukraine is Jewish. Not only that.

"Only 5% of Ukrainians would not like to have Jews as their fellow citizens. This is the lowest level observed in all the countries of Eastern and Central Europe, as revealed in a report released on 28 March 2018 on the results of a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center (US).

Antisemitism in Europe: Ukraine turns out to be the most friendly to Jews

"Russian neo-Nazi paramilitary group says it has defied President Vladimir Putin's order to delete a social media post that called for the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Task Force Rusich, which has reportedly been actively involved in fighting in Ukraine on behalf of the Kremlin, said on its Telegram channel it was pressured by Russian officials to delete a post "about the [encouragement] of execution of prisoners."

The group is believed to have had links to the now-dissolved paramilitary outfit the Wagner Group, whose late chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was killed after his private jet crashed in Russia's Tver region in August 2023."

Russian Neo-Nazis Participate in ‘Denazifying’ Ukraine – Der Spiegel

At least two neo-Nazi groups are fighting for Russian forces in Ukraine, throwing into question Moscow’s claims of “denazifying” its neighbor, German weekly Der Spiegel reported Sunday, citing a confidential intelligence report.

The document shared with German ministries by the BND intelligence service does not provide the exact number of far-right fighters, but identifies them as the Russian Imperial Legion and Rusich groups.

Their involvement “makes the ostensible reason for war, the so-called ‘denazification’ of Ukraine, absurd,” BND is quoted as saying.

Bigger market dip in Covid 2020. Interest rates were kept too low, too long then markets rose but inflation higher by 2022.

Of course, Biden just kept spending on Build Back Butter, or some such dairy initiative.

And that's why inflation spiked in all the economically developed nations? Because of Joe Biden? Nothing to do with the supply chain obstructions and the imbalance between supply and demand?

Yes. This was definitely a huge move on the part of Israel...not.

"Israel and the U.S. signed a free trade agreement 40 years ago and around 98% of goods from the United States are now tax-free. The finance ministry noted that tariff collection from U.S. imports - mainly in the agricultural sector - stands at about 42 million shekels ($11.3 million) a year."

Note this is the same method employed by Biden.  The problem is congress has abdicated some of it's constitutional role to presidents going back to Reagan and Clinton.  Heck I don't think the senate very presented Biden with a budget which I believe is a role they are mandated to fulfill.

So Trump is hardly doing this in a vacuum.

Yes. Do you think it was just an extraordinary coincidence that inflation afflicted virtually all the developed economies. Or did you even think about it at all?

Yep. But losses are always significant

Actually, it's the opposite with you. When one inflation measure showed a one point drip, you assigned it great significance. as a win for Trump. When, a short time later, another measure showed it rising by one point, you dismissed its significance.

Your posts are alwys about me. How flattering? You think about me a lot huh? What I do in this situation, what I say in that.

Seems like you are consumed by me, you follow me around like a teenage boy follows the girl he has the hots for.

Dont forget to respond with an insult now, and your silly emoji campaign LOL. Someone dropped a dime on you about that one LOL

I address what you say in this forum. I don't speculate about your personal life or make personal comments about you. This is an open forum. Anyone's comments are fair game. If I do respond with what you call an insult, it would be about the substance, or lack thereof, of your comments, not about you. As for emojis, I very, very rarely bother with them. I'm not even sure how someone could "drop the dime" on me since they don't come with an information about who posted them. Stop making things up. You've got nothing.
