What do you think of travel packages

Featured Replies

My good nephew in Australia had been telling me he has found  a travel package for 8 nights to Pattaya

$1099 AUD Australian dollars or (23,000 baht) including airfares (economy )and 8 nights accommodation

Including airfare , 8 nights ,and breakfast ,Airport transfers ,he was excited about the breakfast but obviously it will be a Thai breakfast

I can't remember if what he said the hotel was called,he said they will only give the name AFTER confirmation, but he believes it was called a Sailors name it has a swimming pool etc

23,000 baht

Airfares Sydney to Bangkok

Airport transfer to & from hotel

8 nights accommodation

Breakfast included

Now about the Airport transfers ,it says mini bus so no idea he will have find out more

Because in my experience is always find out where the hotel is first

8 nights? Is that even enough?

But Pattaya is crap according to you!

Why even go there? I heard Lopburi has 14 night packages :cheesy:

But you can book the flights for 3 weeks. They include the first 8 nights. You don't have to leave after 8n.

Because they include airport transfers its good for many.

You have to leave after 8 nights

It's a travel package

Your flights and accommodation are already booked

If you want to stay I imagine a change fee

Whats the point? 8 days isnt enough. You need 3 weeks at least.

Remember; like most things in life, you get what you pay for if you are lucky, nothing more, often less.

We are moving towards the "low Season" when there should be plenty of bargains to e ound on line.  What's the big deal about an 'airport transfer?'

I guess you save 1400-1500 baht each way

Airport transfer is good for newbies. Especially if going a long way.

Personally, I hate travel packages.  There is nothing worse than getting off a long flight and then having to wait an hour at the airport for everyone else on your package tour to clear customs before you can get on your bus transfer.  Then when you arrive at the hotel, the whole bus gets off and it takes forever to checkin.  No thanks.

Enough for what?

To meet 8 different prostitutes or Ladyboys?

Or come home with SDT?

Yes, 8 nights is enough🤢

I tried one once and felt too rushed with zero flexibility. I like picking my own spots and just winging it—way more fun and usually cheaper too.

I usually skip travel packages since I prefer sorting stuff myself, but I do book separate things in advance like airport pickups. Last time, I used limo services and it really made arrival smooth, especially after a long flight. Didn't feel like haggling with taxi drivers while jetlagged. So even if I don't go for full-on packages, small add-ons like that are worth it for me.

Surely these packages are twin share so its 2x the cost ??
