Outrage as Puppy Dragged Behind Motorbike, Saved by Local

In a shocking event, a man was spotted dragging a puppy behind his motorcycle, leaving it with severe injuries. It’s believed that the man acted out of spite following a domestic argument.

 

A compassionate neighbour intervened, rushing the injured pup to an animal hospital in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima.

 

The incident was highlighted by the Watchdog Thailand Foundation (WDT), who have posted footage on their Facebook page, stating their intention to pursue animal cruelty charges against the owner.

 

Witnesses included animal lovers who captured the distressing scene and reported it to the foundation.

 

 

 

Fortunately, the pup is now in safe hands. The neighbour, who was deeply moved by the incident, has adopted the puppy, ensuring its recovery and well-being. Updates on social media show the once-dragged dog happily settling into its new life.

 

WDT, alongside witnesses, plans to lodge a formal complaint with the Pak Chong police station. The owner, having brutally endangered the dog, has relinquished any claim to it, as it’s now part of an animal cruelty investigation.

I’m sure the Thai apologists will be silent in this thread as it doesn’t fit their bias narrative. 

 

This story along with others simply highlights how evil ‘some’ people can be….

Thai Man Fined for Dragging Dog with Motorcycle in Disturbing Abuse

A man from Nakhon Ratchasima has been fined 10,000 baht for a shocking case of animal abuse that surfaced thanks to a witness's social media post. The man, identified only as Pannawit, was seen dragging his dog, originally named Salmon, along the road tied to his motorcycle. The abuse came to light after Charuwan Phuangkham posted the incident on Facebook, prompting widespread outrage.

 

Charuwan witnessed the horrific scene and intervened to save the dog, now renamed Talai, which means "slipping." Talai suffered injuries from being dragged for approximately 600 metres, but is now recovering under Charuwan’s care, having received medical treatment.

 

 

 

Pannawit admitted to the violent act, citing an argument with his boyfriend as the trigger for his anger. He expressed a desire to see the dog one last time, and Charuwan graciously permitted it. The non-profit group Watchdog Thailand Foundation quickly acted, filing a complaint against Pannawit.

 

Ultimately, the Sikhio Provincial Court fined him, yet opted not to impose a prison sentence. Meanwhile, Talai continues to heal, benefiting from the warm affection of the new owner and concerned members of the public, reported The Thaiger.

I feel sure the dog was pleased about the fine his aggressor received?! However, did the fine pay for the vet fees which I am sure the dog required?! The guy who did this to a dog for whatever reason should be dragged along the road on his bare ass, then left to suffer his injuries. But I guess being a mindless idiot, he wouldn't suffer.

It’s a good job the neighbour acted to save the dog. Spain comparatively recently ramped up their laws. Minor animal welfare offences in Spain carry a €500 fine, and serious ones like this can be punished with a €200,000 fine.
