Well, it should be a breeze to get the UAE to cease its support for the murderous RSF. After all, it is a charter member of the Board of Peace.

Well, if your remark is intended as a generality and not just directed at unblocktheplanet specifically it could be because people are more concerned with issues that concern their own countries. So, if the United States starts backing one side in Sudan to the tune of billions of dollars per year and affording it a special considerations in other ways, then it can be expected that in the situation will perk up.

The USA has been involved in Sudan and it has provided billions of dollars. Who do you think has provided most of the humanitarian aid? The USA has been the largest donor at a reported $5billion. The World Food Program Sudan operation, obtained 80%+ of its operating budget from the USA. It was the USA that had been able to get both sides to agree to a truce/peace agreement back in 2005. It is also the USA which has led the way on trying to stop the RSF militia through sanctions. It even sanctioned the UAE companies involved in supplying the RSF.

This is not about humanitarian aid. I doubt there are many protesting that. It's about military aid to various factions. And as far as I know, the US hasn't provided military aid to any faction in Sudan. Maybe you know differently?

But the President of the UAE, whom Donald Trump has called a "magnificent man" is the chief backer of the bloodthirsty RSF. The UAE is the country that the Trump family engages with in dubious business deals. And by the way, I don't know where you got that $5 billion figure for US humanitarian aid to Sudan. The Biden administration gave about $2.4 billion. And shortly after taking office the Trump administration slashed that aid.

Ok then, you don’t know. Maybe it’s because your insufficient awareness is a problem.

Try not to take things so personally. I could never understand why people on the left are such sensitive drama queens.

Still ??????????????????????????????? I have no idea what you're writing about. But it can't be anything valid since you're taking the usual recourse of people who have nothing and are making it personal instead.

Why do you want the USA to provide military aid to a faction? The USA has funded peacekeeping and humanitarian aid? Isn't that the right thing to do? It is quite sad that you decide that the only value of a region of of Africans is based upon how much money the USA spends in the region. Perhaps if the money was categorized as anti Trump you would approve?

You made a reference to a lack of spending by the USA as a motive for non involvement. As per the US government;

  • The U.S. is the largest single donor to Sudan.  The U.S. has provided more than $5 billion in aid to the Sudan and Eastern Chad since 2005.

  • The U.S. funds more than 80% of the World Food Program’s food aid in Sudan and Eastern Chad, reaching approximately 6.5 million people throughout the region.

U.S. Support to Peacekeeping

  • The U.S. lent critical support for the transition to the UN-AU hybrid peacekeeping force (UNAMID).  Since 2004, the U.S. has provided over $450 million for the purchase of vehicles and communication equipment, as well as the construction and maintenance of 34 African Union base camps which were transferred to the U.N.

  • The U.S. is working with the UN and other allies to train these forces and provide them with helicopters, combat engineers, and other equipment that are critical for this mission to be a success.  All told, the U.S. played a leading role on the deployment of the troops, and contributes approximately 25% of UNAMID’s budget.

I see you have no answer for the fact that most people unfortunately will not be interested in matters that their countries aren't directly involved in. Maybe if the current US administration starts contributing to some depraved faction there, as that "magnificent man" President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan if the UAE has been doing, you'll see an uptick in protests.

I figured the left-leaning people about this war.

I don't know how you came up with the bizarre notion that I support US funding one faction or another in Sudan.

I do notice that your history of US humanitarian aid to Sudan stops short of the 2nd Trump administration's slashing of that aid soon after Trump assumed office. Nor did you acknowledge the Trump administration's and the Trump family business' embrace of the UAE government. It's as though you are trying to give the Trump administration credit for a policy it has never supported.

The have been many marches and demonstrations throughout the World calling for a Palestine state and opposition to Israel.

I have yet to see one demonstration calling for the USA to stop giving military aid to Israel .

Do you agree with Isreals right to exist in the whole of the land , but you just oppose the USA giving aid to Israel .

USA military budget per year is 900 Billion $

USA military aid to Isreal is 5 Billion $

"I have yet to see one demonstration calling for the USA to stop giving military aid to Israel"

I don't know what your viewing habits are, but this claim of yours is just bizarre.
