I'm sure that's precluded by the settlement agreement that we'll never be privy to.  But if there was any cosmic justice, Fox would get a refund and compensatory damages.

It all depends on one's point of view.

In fact, that's a difference between lefties and conservatives.  Nobody burned down an Anheuser Busch brewery or a store selling Bud Light.  TESLA cars, drivers, charging stations and dealerships?  Lefties are attacking in droves.

Sure there were.  A few of them should have gone to prison. But not the grandmas who walked through doors being propped open by the cops.

And that was one event on one day.  BLM was around 8000 protests over an entire season of love and mostly peaceful burning and looting.  Resulting on over 2000 cops injured and 97 cop cars torched and $$ billions of damage to mostly innocent businesses.

Keep up that "sane" thing.  It worked so well for HRC in 2016.  "Deplorables" wasn't the only reason she lost, but it probably tipped enough votes to make the difference.

Yesterday on Fox, a Dem operative predicted that Harris would be their candidate in 2028.  We can only hope...  What was Einstein's definition of insanity?

There were a lot of P’d off Red, White and Blue Americans during the Summer of Love Riots .Some took out their rage for one day! Built up anger

released after watching the radicals burn & loot cities peacefully.Same thing happening again with the Tesla Terrorist & the Assassin cult phenomenon.

Antifa paying visits to Charlie Kirks college campuses debates with umbrellas again.

Not to mention they were emboldened by the utter lack of consequences for the looters and arsonists.  Jan6 would have looked entirely different if BLM'ers went to jail and no Dems had stumped for bail money.

Wrong. As usual.

'The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy. Out of 16,421 arrests, 70 went to prison.   That's one in 235.

What's the stat for J6ers?  One in 1.5?

Trump resisted calling out the National Guard for hours, watching events on TV, despite the pleas of his advisors. Pence was the one who called them out.

I understand this much, you are a liar.

That one event on one day is estimated to have cost $2.7 billion.

Trump lost the tariff war with China in his first term. America's farmers were hurt badly.

In 2016, China derived 18.4% of its income from exports to America. Now, it is less than 15%.

You think Trump will win his second trade war with China, while alienating all America's allies?

Right there is the definition of insanity by Einstein.

Sham trials are expensive.

How much physical damage was done?  How many cop cars and buildings were burnt down?  Maybe a $million in honest damage? And $2.699 billion chasing down and prosecuting grandmas who walked through doors being held open by cops...

Mea Culpa.  It was $1.5 million in actual damages.  Not the $1 million I claimed.

Jan. 6 by the Numbers: 775 Arrested, $1.5M in Damage to Capitol

Jan. 6 by the Numbers: 775 Arrested, $1.5M in Damage to Capitol – NBC4 Washington

Here's Buzzfeed, appalled that the number is $2.5 million (not billion) if you include the booze that was pilfered.

Capitol Riot Damage Estimated At Over $2.5 Million

You're only off by a factor of 1000.

Back in 2000 there were widespread concerns about the reliability of electronic voting machines.  After the Supreme Court awarded Florida to Bush, Gore decided to not pursue questions about the voting machines simply because casting doubt on the electoral outcome would be too divisive.

His decision to stand by the public results in 2000 was mirrored by Pence's actions in 2020.  Two men on opposite sides of the political spectrum who decided to put any person doubts aside and preside over their own defeats.

Another lame attempt at distorting facts.

Fox did not pay a huge sum of money for just having claimed that voting machines could be hacked.

BLM did not assault the Capitol in an attempt to steal the election.

Paper ballot, pencil attached to the voting booth with a bit of string.

Neither did the J6ers.  You can tell because they left their guns at home.  Had it really been an insurrection, they could have been armed to the teeth.

But it doesn't surprise me that people believe it was an insurrection (it wasn't), or that there was $2.7 billion in damages (there wasn't).  That was the narrative of the MSM and Dems out to get Trump.   Repeated 10,000 times.

The worstest thing to happen since the civil war, right up on 9/11 level.  Hogwash.

It was a day of protest with some stoopidity thrown in that did about $2-3 million of damage.  And a lot of that damage was in reaction to the cops that went full Rambo on the protestors.  Not an entire season that did well over $2 billion of genuine physical damage.  That was the BLMers.

Sure! They just went to a meeting called "stop the steal" and inadvertently marched to the Capitol andxassaulted it at exactly the same moment Congress was certifying election results.

The fact that it was dumb doesn't change the aim of the assault.

spectrum!

Old politics !

Truth be told it took the SCOTUS to decide Bush / Gore.

And Pence took the path of least resistance , like all good little politicians from the Washington Establishment!

He had grand illusions of becoming  Potus , Pence did.

Well what is it then? Your original post said 'they were emboldened by the utter lack of consequences for the looters and arsonists.  Jan6 would have looked entirely different if BLM'ers went to jail..' now you are accepting that 70 went to prison.

You can't have it both ways - there was either no consequences or there was. Which one are you choosing?

NB - And none of these BLM rioters who were jailed were subsequently pardoned by presidential order - unlike the Jan 6th rioters.

I would characterize a 0.5% chance of going to prison even if we do arrest you as an utter lack of consequences.

Let's summarize, shall we...

BLM:

BLMnumbers.jpg.13f74f0346caa5acd7653f0f65ce47de.jpg

(Police Chief's MCCA Report)

Your link says 70 went to prison?  That's 1 for every 29 cops that were injured.

Jan 6 (according to NPR):

NPR.jpg.fe840006f7b6e091f7cb51940b2aa1ea.jpg

140 cops injured.  720 went to prison.  That's 5 for every cop injured.  150x as many as the BLM'ers.  That's referred to as a dual standard of justice.  Protest on the side of the Angels, and you can get away with arson and looting and attacking cops.  Protest on the side of the Bad Orange Man and we will hunt you down for months and sentence you to prison.

You figure maybe the J6'ers would have done things differently had they seen over 10,000 BLM'ers going to prison? (2037 injured x 5)  Had they enforced the law during the Summer of Love, January 6 would have looked completely different.

Now it's BLM's fault, not Trump organising a "stop the steal" meeting on the day of election certification, and then sending them to March to the Capitol!

Did they chant "hang Pence" because of BLM, too? :coffee1:
