New Printer

Featured Replies

My 7 year old Brother printer is refusing now to print any colours, only black and white. I only use it intermittently and the local repair shop says it is not worth repairing. I am contemplating buying a new one Would expert members recommend a reasonably priced and reliable one. I do not want a cartridge fed device.

How often do you actually need a colour printer?

Two years ago I bought a Canon laser printer and generally  I only use it for 90 day/ visa renewal paperwork.  I can't remember the last time I needed a colour print.  Being a laser  printer if I don't use from one 90 day to another it works first time too.  It does scan in colour though, but prints and copies only in black and white.  BTW  it's a Canon MF3010.

Depends on how often you need Colour ?

Myself if ever I need colour then will go to a print shop, works out a lot cheaper..  or if a few then copy all to a USB stick and take to printer shop.

Had inkjet printers for years and many of them, changed to a Brother 1510 [copy/scan/print] Mono Laser about 8 years ago, never look back

Buy compatible Toner + Drum TN 1000 + DR 1000 as a set together costing 335 baht, [changed this week] every year so the print is always crisp and clear

Is the OP looking for a color laser or an inkjet?

I bought an Epson L210 many years ago. (10,15?). Wouldn't start two weeks ago - indicators showed "ink waste pads" full. Tried washing them. No Joy. Bought new ones. No good. Took to BigC. 300 baht. Works perfectly.
