Pattaya beach.

I hear you can reserve your spot right on the beach for your nightly stay.

Just go to koh Chang or koh mak. Koh mak is very peaceful.

why are you asking about pattaya?

are you secretly pretending to live there while simultaneously bashing it on the forum and acting holier than thou for not living there?

or are you secretly fantasizing about living there?

Shut up

Wong amet maybe

Last time I went there (which was a while ago) a pipe was disgorging waste or effluent straight into the sea visible on the beach........

Sai Kaew Beach is south of Pattaya.  100 baht for foreigners. Food, shade and clear water.

Seems to get the best reviews

At the main gate you leave your DL, then later further down the road you stop and pay.

Years ago, Jomtien down the coast a ways was OK for swimming. Like 2004.  I mention 2004 because that was my second trip to Pattaya and we and my friends ended up going to Ko Samet and were there during the tsunami.  We had reservations for phuket but for some reason my buddy changed us to Ko Samet.  Saved my life as I guarantee I would have been swimming in the morning before the sun gets too hot and I would have been in the water when the Tsunami came.  I was aware of tsunamis and there is a good chance I would have made it to high ground in Patong , but you never know

Just came back from Koh Chang, still my favourite island, quiet but have bars, if you want a bit of night life. In my opinion ideal place for couples

Pratumnak Soi 5 beach isn’t bad. Usually not too crowded except on weekends and holidays. You can walk down further to the right for more shade and less people. Water is fine.

Personally, I think Koh Samet is closer, has better beaches, is quieter (it's all a natural park), and still has a zone of nightlife and restaurants if you're looking for some fun.
A good destination for couples.
