You think you got problems ....

Today, my Thai lady went to the 20b shop on the Naklua Road (removing her shoes on entry, as per the sign on the door)...

When she got out - someone had stolen them ....

Worth more than 20b :coffee1:

I will never take my shoes off to enter an ordinary shop no matter what signs are on the door. I usually wear ordinary sandals so it means that I have to sit on the sidewalk to take them off and again to put them back on. If there was a seat to sit on then yes, I would.

Those look like pretty nice sandals. I'll have to look them up.

I often wonder how often people get their shoes or sandals stolen when they're sitting outside an establishment, but then again, most people seem to wear such cheap junk that no one would want to steal them anyway.

I'm guilty of paying too much for shoes and sandals, I guess, so I'd worry.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear.

Did you report this incident to the police?

Maybe myself and our AN investigation team can resolve this issue.

Please provide more information, I'll get our team to work.

The ladies at the massage shop told me that he was an Aussie as did he - I talked with him when I came in - unless he was pretending to be an Aussie... I believed him -

He told me where he was from and all about his lifestyle which was totally based on how little he could spend. I actually felt a little sorry for him. I went in for my massage and when I came out, his sandals were there and mine gone. One of the masseuses told me also that he wanted her to live with him, but he could not give her money. He loved her.

I am often hesitant about removing my shoes, especially when the floor is clearly very dirty and dusty. Sometimes I won't. If they say something I reply that I would have been happy to comply, if they bothered to clean the floor more often. You want me to leave? No problem.

I will often place my $100 Timberland sandals (which I cannot easily replace) inside the door.

Not on Soi Buakhao I would not, there's a guy there who would quickly replace them with his paper thin worn out flip-flops!
