Could be a false flag to make the opposition to Trump who represent actually DECENT Americans against dictatorship and fascism look bad.

Again this was more a troll move than hate crime.

Nah the left has fallen in love with swastikas. They have to own it now. Same people that shout death to Jews love Hitler symbols. Not too surprised.

Whether it be using scribbled swastikas on cars , houses , buildings or acting out antisemitism atrocities against students the extreme left would Make Hilter

proud , especially since they went full Nazi on Oct 7.

Historical similarities of yesteryear Hitlers Nazi’s  regime  and the modern day extreme left are being used by only they/them since Oct 7.

A timely article:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/apr/19/timothy-mcveigh-oklahoma-bombing-far-right-1995

Are Timothy McVeigh's views, 30 years on, now considered mainstream?

Quote

McVeigh wanted to strike at what he saw as a corrupt, secretive cabal running the US government – what Donald Trump and his acolytes refer to as the Deep State and are now busy dismantling.

McVeigh believed the US had no business extending its influence around the world or becoming entangled in foreign wars when white working-class Americans from industrial cities such as Buffalo, his home town, were suffering.......McVeigh believed it was up to ordinary citizens like him to take up arms and fight against a tyrannical ruling order, no matter the cost in innocent lives, because that was what the country’s founders had done during the American civil war. The T-shirt he wore when he was arrested carried a quote from Thomas Jefferson: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

I am saying this wasn't a hate crime. I was a stupid thing to do, but for context Nazi symbols on synagogues or gay spaces ARE hate crimes.

It's only a hate crime when THEY do it.

I't the context man. LOL They have become drooling retards. Call me funny but where I grew up we considered putting a swastika on anything a hateful, despicable thing to do. Are they going to revive burning crosses in people's yards back? The dems loved doing that back in the day.

No. I explained why.

Here's an example.

During Covid there was a wave of anti-Asian hate in the U.S.

So if you saw Asians or Asian spaces being racially attacked, those were hate crimes.

If you saw mostly white republicans hit with anti-Asian hate, that would just be a stupid troll.

A very long time ago. It's hilarious to me that people try to pull that garbage attack out of the bag. That has NOTHING to do with modern democrats. Be honest. Stop lying.

It stopped long ago because we no longer tolerated it. Now you want to debate the intricacies of when hate symbols are just hunky dory. Let's make a rule. Don't deface property with nazi symbols. Fair enough. It is never okay.

I agree it's not OK and very stupid anywhere, but the truth is the context matters very much on whether it's a hate crime or not.

I don't believe that charge would hold up anywhere in this case. It was obviously a stupid troll move.

The white nationalist anti black civil rights party SWITCHED from the democrats to the republicans.

Google -- Southern strategy

Again. Be honest. Stop lying.

Maybe you can pull your revisionist history on ignorant people though.

Repeat after me: defacing property with hate symbols is wrong and there is no excuse. There is no other context that matters.

"There were very fine people on both sides, & I'm not talking about the Neo-nazis and white supremacists because they should be condemned totally."

Except: records show he made the comment about "fine people on both sides" on the Saturday - the day of the marches and the day the neo-nazi drove a car into the crowd, killing a woman protestor.

The subsequent additional condemnation of the neo-nazis and white supremacists came several days later, when perhaps the real meaning of what he said became realised. The original quote was made on the Saturday without any qualification, and therefore stands as such.

Nazis are not targeting republicans.

There are gay and Jewish republicans. Again that doesn't matter it is a hate symbol. Maybe you can enroll in a class in Harvard of you want to debate the context of it. In the real world this is a debate that doesn't take place amongst normal people.

Diversion.

Just try and get a hate crime charge to hold on this incident. It won't ever happen because its absurd. You should know better.

Funny that you mention Harvard.

Harvard deserves great praise for resisting Trump's maga fascism to take control of universities.

Remember when republicans were for small government?

Now they want their filthy hands everywhere all over the world.

Trump is trying to get the UK to drop their hate speech laws against gay people as a condition for a tariff deal.

That's the type of thing a Nazi friendly party would do.

What does that have to do with tariffs?!?

Have fun with your swastikas. You are simply too crazy to talk to. This is why the left is in the wilderness. They want to ramble on about stupid crap all day long. Diversions and context and semantics bla bla bla. I personally find the nazi symbol; hateful as a gay man with a Jewish surname. It is never okay it is always a symbol of hate.

If you like it great.

I never said I liked Nazi stuff.

You know I hate it.

The problem is the people putting swastikas on buildings are the Nazis. Normal people do not do that. The same people that go to protests screaming death to Jews.

Right-wing commentators re-arranged the trans flag to look like a swastika a while ago to depict trans people as nazis. It happens on both sides and does either side no credit at all.

I have no time to debate your crazy sensibilities about hate crimes. I don't support any Nazi symbol on anything period. See that way the rest doesn't matter. Swastika=bad.

I have said either way it is a hate crime. Period. We don't need to get out some checklist and examine it in depth. Nazi symbols on buildings = bad= person doing it = bad person convicted of it =incarcerated.

It's not a checklist, it's providing balance. You referenced only the left and the Dems in your posts, despite your broad assertion that it is always wrong, which is obvious.

1. The Republicans are not nazis. Not even close. I get it that some of their actions are unacceptable to some and maybe even illegal in some cases, but that does not make them nazis.

2. The  people who did this were making a point, and did not vandalize as there was no physical damage. What they did was not nice,  but they were thoughtful and considerate enough not to cause damage to the property. The taped items can be removed in minutes with no harm to the building. Certainly more respectful than arson or graffiti painting  the building.

I'll remember that next time I lovingly duck-tape swastikas onto the local synagogue.

It's not a hate crime as long as I'm thinking happy thoughts as I do it.

It is a false equivalence. The left is not deporting people to offshore concentration camps.
