Yes you can, often, usually see them coming.

I appreciate it's your view, which everyone else will disregard

I agree, maybe a tattoo zone within the forum where these people mix together and talk tattoos and the story behind them 🥱, @fredwiggy can be put in charge, commander in chief of the tattoo people.

wife beater.

It's attire for the gyms or other sports. One pieces are used to power lift. A wife beater is one who takes his anger out on those weaker than him. Some of them wear t-shirts that some have come to call wife beaters, as we sometimes see people arrested in domestic violence situations wearing these style shirts. Some wear them thinking they are tough, and have muscles, when they actually don't, so it's in their minds. Just a term some use, many times mistakenly, like rednecks because they're from the south.

Where is swaggering, threats and bragging? People earlier said those with tattoos have a low IQ. Tattoos have nothing to do with a person's IQ. Stating a fact isn't anything besides what it is. People assuming those with tattoos are any different than those without shows ignorance, as they don't know them personally, besides the few they do know personally, at least somewhat. You missed my points, as I told of people I know personally very well.

Would jesus have had a tattoo? I don't see many priests with tattoos?

In over 50 years in many gyms, I've seen thousands of men and women with tattoos. Just as people spend a lot of money on designer clothes which only cost more and don't last as long as regular clothes, and others pay up to $10 for a glass of iced coffee in the US, it's just another thing to spend money on, and their business. I've seen many out of shape people without tattoos and many in shape with tattoos. I've also seen doctors, surgeons, lawyers, judges, politicians and many other professionals with tattoos, as they all came to my gyms. Of course there are many gang  members who have them, but tattoos aren't what makes the person.

Gyms are full of cavemen, have you noticed? they usually end up kicking off on Walking Street

You can judge them, but you'd be wrong, as you don't know them. As I and others here have said, tattoos are worn by every type of person on earth, every personality type, race, nationality and creed. Rich and poor, criminal and professional. Not my view, just facts. Saying everyone will disregard means nothing, as that's just another of your opinions, which again, mean nothing. Look at others comments here. You buy women and have spoken about having a few STD's. Can I judge you, saying it's because you're ignorant and can't get a normal woman? That you aren't bright enough to use protection in your conquest of the ladies of the night? Or can I just say you prefer hookers because the woman in your life have hurt you so much you don't want to bother with a normal relationship and prefer just a transaction where you just walk away?

Who is we? If you're referring to those here that aren't bright enough to see my intelligence, well their opinions also mean nothing. I state factual data or things from personal observations, which are also facts. This means they are correct. Opinions coming from anyone mean little. There's more going on in my "mind" than you'll ever fathom.

Tattoos are for life. If you have ever seen an 80-year-old covered in tattoos you will know how ugly they look as they fade. I know someone who tattooed his girlfriend's name on his arm. Later, they separated, and he found another girl he would later marry. In those days there was no tattoo removal, so he had someone cover it with a tattoo of a bird. Whoopsie.

Then there is God.

Leviticus 19:28 in the Old Testament states, "You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord."

Gyms are full of people who care enough about themselves, and their families, to take good care of themselves to ward off injuries and disease. I've noticed people from all walks of life in 50 years in gyms, and none were cavemen. cavemen don't make enough to afford a gym membership, as you can't pay in raw meat.

I haven't yet met Jesus, but I'm thinking he , and most others back then, didn't have tattoos. How many priests have you seen with their clothes off?  I'm hoping not too many.

Yes tattoo people and tattoo mentality (fredwiggy) quickly go to threats

Where have I threatened anyone? I stick up for people with tattoos because of the ignorance shown to those that have them, judging them without knowing a thing about them, and I have friends and family who have them.

I do agree that many tattoos aren't great, some offensive, as is too many, especially on women. They do fade, so the person needs to think before they get one, and go to a good designer. Putting anyone's name on your body is iffy, as anything can happen. Your body is a temple according to God, so you don't abuse it, although many more abuse it by eating too much or the wrong foods, and drinking too much or using drugs, so a tattoo doesn't seem like too much compared to that, especially if you otherwise take care of yourself.

It occurred to me today as I observed a gentleman bellowing pleasantries to a restaurant hostess (really pleasantries and really bellowing), that here on AN we don't have a significant bit of info that we have IRL on whether or not to engage in dialogue with a person we encounter. The above-mentioned  "person" was of course wearing a singlet and displaying a large number of tattoos.

I am talking about adding to the member profile the number of square inches of tattoos visible when a person is wearing a singlet.

I have found that individuals I encounter in public are interesting and polite conversationalists in inverse proportion to the number of square inches of neck, shoulder, and arm tattoos they display.

This would allow self-selection of the kind that takes place IRL, the tattooed could gravitate to each other and the nons could do  the same.

I don't think this is unfairly prejudicial to anyone as choosing to get a tattoo is clearly volitional as would be reporting it on profile like gender and location.

Again this information would be provided or not  voluntarily.

Asking about tattoos visible when wearing a singlet would not apply to those of you who have a "tramp stamp" of a Chinese character which may say "courage" as you think, or "boiled cabbage" as it actually does.

Your tramp stamps are your own business.

In any event, this a only suggestion and is of course open for discussion.

why are we getting so many trash Threads now     ??     pathetic .....

are AN members so childish and uneducated.    ?

In real life tattoos are useful in quickly identifying men to avoid

Or women.

Don't have a tattoo.
Never wanted a tattoo.
I could give a rip if anyone else has a tattoo or not.  What someone chooses to do with their own body is up to them.

Somewhat flawed - many Thai monks do have tattoos, particularly those who are part of certain Buddhist traditions that embrace sak yant....

I'm not pro or anti-tattoos... but I am anti-dumb arguments and you seems to be presenting some rather antiquated and ill thought out ideas...

Smart people understand smart people, and can recognize them quite easily, by the way they talk, the knowledge they have on subjects, and the way they interact with others. Some people are confused by this for good reasons.

You are unable to summarise and repeatedly waffle on with too wordy replies, that isn't a feature of being smart

"Try telling that to their faces, especially the ones who are bigger, wealthier and more educated"

That is very definitely a threat, as if something bad would happen if the previous poster said his piece to the faces of those you admire so much.

You are unable to comprehend what I say, so that's on you. Wordy replies are understood by intelligent people.
