A tense situation unfolded in Pattaya, resulting in a South Korean man, Mugyeom, sustaining a serious hand injury after an altercation with a group of Thai women over a restaurant bill. The incident took place in a small alley near Pattaya Walking Street around 9 am on April 23.

The altercation began after Mugyeom and a small group, including 26-year-old Chorphaka and her friends, dined together following a visit to an entertainment venue. Mugyeom, having ordered food and drinks at the restaurant, asked one of Chorphaka's friends to cover the bill with a promise to reimburse her later at his condominium. Tensions rose when he allegedly reneged on this promise, sparking a heated argument.

As the disagreement intensified, the women attempted to leave Mugyeom's residence, but he reportedly blocked their way. They managed to exit the condominium, but Mugyeom pursued them to a nearby alley, where his aggressive behaviour prompted one of the women to grab a knife from a food cart for protection.

Chorphaka recounted that her friend held the knife purely in self-defence and did not intend any harm. The situation escalated when Mugyeom tried to wrest the knife away, resulting in the cut on his right hand. The food cart owner, witnessing the confrontation, supported Chorphaka's version of events and claimed Mugyeom attempted to assault the women with a pair of scissors, which he managed to stop.

The Sawang Borriboon Dhammasathan Foundation rescuers treated Mugyeom's injury, described as a deep cut bleeding profusely. Meanwhile, the women filed a report with the Mueang Pattaya Police Station. Both parties involved in the incident, along with the food vendor, were interviewed by police to gather more information about the confrontation.

Mugyeom is expected to provide his account of the events once his medical condition improves. Police investigations remain ongoing, as they work to clarify the circumstances leading to this unfortunate altercation and determine the necessary legal actions.

Poor little Elephant boy, knocked back by the women.

Then cries like a baby, the knife should have gone deeper

I'm assuming they were not ladyboys otherwise his outcome might have been quite worse.

So they showed up to get paid.  He reneged.  Then he blocked them from leaving and even chased them down.

What am I missing?
