That's more arrests than most Thai cops do in their entire career.

  • Why bother to dress it up as a robot when it's simply a facial recognition camera?

Will it catch Boss (the policeman squasher) or is he not on the wanted list ?

AI robo-cops will learn fast.........couple of months and they will be trawling the bars demanding tea money and extorting drivers at the road stops.

Assisted in 14 arrests as it was not asleep in its booth and didn't have a phone to play with.

Give it time......they learn quick.

Robocop is wearing his parachute jump badge.

So I guess he has done that already. What a cleaver chap.

Am I the only one who noticed?

Which photo is of the cyborg cop? My eyesight's not so good these days...

The robot's AI capabilities include recognising faces on a blacklist, tracking suspicious individuals, and identifying weapons and potential violent behaviour. Notably, it has proven effective at events like cockfighting derbies and local markets, leading to several arrests in connection with drug offences, theft, and other criminal activities.

When it can do a back-flip I will know it's real

I wonder if it had to pay for its uniform out of its wages? 🙂

I guess instead of offering it some money

You offer it a quart of oil 😂 to get off

Where does the T money go I cant see any USB slots for that?

Did he have to buy his uniform and shake down touristas at traffic stops for 'Big Boss' ?

Probably has an input that sets the date to begin the search for BOSS to 2027+ so that the charges are all dropped totally IMHO.  Money definitely speaks louder than actions - just as it does for US politics too! sorry  for the off subject here.

So it's a mannequin with a CCTV camera embedded, so nothing that has been available for quite a few years. So why all the fuss, it doesn't actually do much.

I do wish the person, who voted my comment down, had the balls to say why.

So they need a robot to do the most basic of police work?

Hello, China.

I wonder how many of the 14 were Uyghurs.

Who ever they were they didn't have big bank accounts, weren't influential and didn't have influential friends.

So what does it do that other CCTV and facial recognition software doesn't do already?

It can't run or apprehend.

You still need a plod to implement the arrest.

But then again you don't see many BIB actually running or raising a sweat.

Ain't it the truth. If you have seen any of the China propaganda - like how advanced they are - wow you can buy stuff by only using you hand, no CC or cash or cell phone needed. It's because you have signed your life and privacy away to big brother. I really like the one where when you are in a bathroom , public or hotel, and you find there is no toilet paper. It is fantastic how the know and deliver the TP to you stall. 🚽😕

Wouldn't you cover your face when that thing is around

One should know that covered face is already suspicious.

There is no need to hide anything if the law is followed appropriately.

Wearing mouth mask (for covid/PM2.5) and sunglasses is pretty normal now.

It is always good to hide , privacy , you know.
