Yes, and you know she's running on fumes when the best she could come up with is "Trump hater". Like that's actually something negative.😄

PS. I like your avatar. I need to change mine into something like that as the resident MAGA manlymen keep getting turned on by it.

Just curious, as I prefer to debate with educated people, but many Yanks haven't a clue how govt works, and find non Yanks even more ignorant.

To state I was deflecting, shows huge ignorance on posters part.

Oh well, apparently just another keyboard warrior, stirring it up, and looking foolish in the process.

That's nothing to be ashamed of, honey. You do you, and that's no one else's business.

Who is this Bob you're speaking of? I've been called "Bob" by a couple of posters so I assume you're searching for his reincarnation.

Why is that - do you miss him?

OK, so just another reincarnation of Bob ... that sad.

I can't keep track of all the trolls, and reincarnated usernames.  I actually gave everyone on my ignore list a reprieve, except Bob and the Covid mug.

Now there's 3 on it :coffee1:

Oh dear, I think you've just made a big poo-poo. The only poster I pointed out was deflecting in this thread was the poster EVENKEEL. So you're posting under two handles, then.

Why do you even need to do that KhunLA/EVENKEEL?

Dear Harrisfan/Susan/bignok/Bob

The committee regrets to inform you your application for membership has been unsuccessful, as you fall short of the required criteria.

We suggest you spend at least six months as a White House adviser, to attain more qualifications.

Yours Sincerely,

What a sad retirement

It's amazing that so many foreigners love to talk about the US. But the Yanks living in the US almost never mention your tiny countries, and certainly don't give a darn about your country's politics.

But I guess that's what happens when you're the Big Dog.  🐶

This is great, but the irony in all this with Trumpers is that, for all their idiotic cultist conspiracy beliefs, they can’t pause for even a second to laugh at themselves. What a tremendous pity.

Yes, they've got serious work to do. No time to see the constant irony of King Donalds actions and his merry band of sycophantic sophomores.

They must search out and find a proper flatulence medicine to stop Hilary from having those tremendous gas attacks. She is destroying Florida! Hurricane Hilary is coming!

Hey, and there is hope for advisor status. If Pete Hegseth, Robert Kennedy and Pam Bondi can make it, so can you. Even an average Joe can be a cabinet pick. Just make sure your grooming skills are up to par and you bring plenty of chapstick for butt kissing relief.

I don't think so, nothing has changed for the average American, except their 401k went down a little.

It's the first time in American history the bond market tanked along with the stock market. That forced a rise in interest rates on Treasury bonds, which adds to the interest on American debt.

You are in a time where change will become a constant, and not for the better. You just don't realise it yet.

That's the thing, change for the average American is possible in the future, but as of today not much has changed. I don't like many of Trump's policies, but I have a wait and see attitude because no one knows the future. I give him until summer of 2026, because if things aren't good by then he will lose the mid-terms and will never get any bill passed again.

I really don't think Trump has that long. The Smoot- Hawley tariffs of June 1930 were almost immediate in their impact on trade. Purchasing and trade decisions were affected within another month, and it only took 3 months for retaliatory tariffs to start biting back.

Trump has locked himself into a fight with China he can't win. Xi holds all the aces, and knows it. That's why the CCP won't cave.

I haven't been in America in almost three years, but from what I see online, many Americas are now in serious financial trouble, especially some of the younger generations who are having very much trouble indeed. Do you need a list of the problems they all face in today's world?

-Finding a job that pays a "living" wage.  Very difficult for many.  For some of them, sure, but those people are not "average."  They're the exception.

-Finding affordable housing.  In some parts of the country, maybe, but those affordable areas have fewer employment opportunities.

-Being able to afford healthy food  Prices for groceries are through the roof ll over. People are using credit cards to charge their food, and the interest rates on those credit cards is not cheap. It's all very much not sustainable.  Uber Eats?  You can now pay in installments for your pizza. If that's not crazy, I'm not sure what is.

-Having a family? Many can't even afford to support  themselves, let alone support any dependents.  Without more babies, the country is in trouble.  I guess that may be one of the reasons some people like all the new illegal aliens.  New slave labor for the labor pool.  Americans might not want to work in a sweatshop.

-And with the advent of Artificial Intelligence, many will find even maintaining today's not so good existence impossible.  Fewer jobs will be available. Many jobs will be performed by AI agents or by robots.

So, if your idea of the "average" American is a Baby Boomer with a house that's paid for, then perhaps many of them are doing OK, for now.  They may be paying more for food, but they don't have to worry too much about paying a mortgage. They have yet to cash in their 401(k).

All true. But that's the exact same situation they were in 3 months ago, it didn't happen overnight.

Of course not.  Did I imply that was the case?

America has been in decline for decades. Maybe not for some, but it's undisputed that the middle class is no longer what it was in the 50s and 60s.  I could go into all that, but I don't think it's really necessary.
