Just a heads up for any Heinz Baked Bean aficionados here on Samui..

 

Big C has them at THB 69 a tin (415gm). I normally pay around THB120 0n Lazada.

Just make your own,

50bht at Makro for 500g dried white beans.

44bht for 600g Rosa tomato sauce.

Rehydrate the beans, mixing 1/2 the Rosa = 1.5kg of baked beans for 72bht.

Talking of bargains. Look what I scooped up at my local Big C today. Not enough foreigners here so they had about 15 boxes for sale. Cheap as chips !

You did notice the sell by date though, right? June 25. Normally they have at least a year on them.

(Yes, I am sure they can last beyond that depending on how they've been stored).

Extremely popular in the UK as a quick snack, meal, or as an accompaniment. Brits eat more of them than anyone.
