Thx

This leads all to the same place i used.

BTW for "Extension of Retirement Visa" (funny, they themselves call it this technically incorrect name) May is fully booked, in June they have 3 days available,  for July it is too early.

IIRC this used to be much better.  Is this the norm now? Like this,  one can just forget about appointments.

Too bad.

I have used the appointments the last couple of times,  it was good...so now it's spending a day waiting for Godot again,  like in the old times

If you are over 70 you can pull the old-age card. Worked very well for me last time I was there.

I am still a spring chicken.

Just yesterday,  my age was estimated to be 50

Be aware that there are often people older than you waiting.  At CW, I had to go behind two 85 year old men.  The oldest get priority

I'm interested. How did that actually work.

You would have had a queue ticket #.

Then you noticed that despite you being next in line the two wheelchair guys where seen prior to you?

The release dates for appts one month in advance. SO this morning at 12:01 appts because available to book for June 18th

Many people set their alarms for midnight to snap a booking, especially people who have to use the dreaded Section N (teachers, students etc) because it is JAMMED every day.

It's not brain science or rocket surgery people

  • You know when your extension will expire,
  • You know in Bangkok you can apply when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp,
  • Set an alarm on your phone so you can make a booking for your extension.

Believe me having an appt makes the process a WHOLE LOT smoother than queuing up with the zombie horde at the crack of dawn to get a queue and wait it out 😛

Just a tip, don't make a booking for 8:30AM  (there are hundreds of people trying to get in the door that queued up), OR after 11:30AM (you will not get done before they close at 12 for lunch), OR at 1:00PM (same thing, hundreds of people are queuing to get back in after the lunch closure) <- those are just problematic times even though they let you in before others with an appt print out

See there are openings for retirement extension on the 18th of June because it JUST opened up at 12:01 am this morning for booking
