I know there are a lot of far-right Western supporters on this forum. So how do you feel about Thailand being so clearly far-right? Thai people first, immigration strictly limited, restrictive residency and citizenship laws, no support for migrants, asylum seekers etc. This must be a dream country for those complaining about the West going down the drain!

Sadly this is my experience in part too. Among young Thai girls the feminist virus is strong and leads to outrageous demands like equal treatment in hoursework. I could not believe it.

I don't believe the Western contructs of Right and Left politics are applicable in Asia.

 

Putting your own citizen's rights before foreigners does not make you far right, and not accepting illegal entry by non working people who expect hand outs is just common sense ..... and the law.

Every Thai citizen can walk into a Government Hospital and get health care. ( right wingers usually call this socialism, but it is not)

 

Transgender people are widely accepted.

Immigration is quite locked down but open to most all people who qualify for entry. plus there are quite a few ways refugess can enter the country.
