The headline should read:

US President makes a fool of himself showing a home grown conspiracy theory Facebook video at a meeting with South Africa dignitaries

( Also, loses his sh!t when asked about the 747 QATAR bribe.)

Why would a reporter bring up the Qatari 747 during a meeting with the South African delegation?

Other than OMB?

Normal presidents don't act like a vulgar mob-boss, especially when entertaining another head of state.

Normal people don't support a president who behaves this way.

You defending a two bit racist African Socialist dictator over you're President. How typical.

Less pearl clutching would generally be a good idea, buddy. Even Grok, in it's current semi-lobotomized form, disagrees with you.

Another shameless stunt from the circus clown. He dishonors America daily. He is not making America great again. Trump is making the US far less relevant.

Yep.

The criminally corrupt grifter has damaged the American brand PERMANENTLY.

Americans will be much poorer nation because of our moron president.

Except for his billionaire cronies of course.

Enough to make all decent Americans VOMIT.

Perhaps. But the Blacks are now in charge. They control the levers of power at every level.  Boers are the oppressed minority, facing discrimination.

I asked Grok "Are the Boers in South Africa oppressed?" The answer it gave is roughly my impression of the current situation. I only attached the conclusion because the answer it gave was long and detailed. Well worth a read, though.

Well, if Grok says it..... must be true.

I am waiting for the video clip of an Afrikaaner politician sing/changing "kill the blacks!" in front of a cheering stadium.

Or the marauding gangs of Afrikaners dragging innocent black people out of their homes and murdering them.

This thread is priceless. Irrational fear and hatred of Trump has caused the forum "liberals" to side with genocidal maniacs. You couldn't make up this level of irrationality and ridiculousness.

Currently, correct.

Still doesn’t change the fact that “they” have descended into another 3rd world cesspool.

Without the help of Britain.  They managed quite well on their own.

That's totally wrong.

Of course it is Britain's fault. If Britons wouldn't have exploited the country but give the Blacks a good education, and invested in infrastructure.....aso....it could be a better place now.

That wouldn't be advisable as they're (whites) only 7% of the population. But under apartheid I'm sure you would have found examples of this.

Fine - but be diplomatic and polite for long term relations - and he seems to have a narrow area of concern which is .. not surprising ..nice to see him bring up similar issues with other countries .. rich oil producing middle east countries perhaps

Why ?
Thats what got us in this mess.

Where I come from people expect the truth and are thick skinned enough to not get their feelings hurt. I would have zero respect for Trump had he not called him out.

But it's a bit selective is the point. White farmers at threat. Shut down the meeting and show some likely biased video - biased as it is a fairly contentious argument he is making. But visiting rich countries or talking to Putin - human rights issues - no need to discuss. Come on - be honest - have I got a point.

Just another day in Washington with big Don and his ridiculous antics. You can dress a clown up in royal garments but that doesn't mean he's any less of a clown.

Or maybe I meant to say a $200 blue suit from Target.

Yes i have been to South Africa, soweto, Johannesburg etc. you are correct and criticism of you needs addressing. Trump seems to be pissed off at South Africa for political reasons . The below is from the ABC and taken from correspondents in cape town:

Both white and Black farmers and even conservative white Afrikaner groups debunked the Trump administration’s “genocide” and land seizure claims that led the U.S. to cut all financial aid to South Africa. Farmers agree that violent crime is a problem for everyone.

Latest stats from South Africa

"the latest figures show that nearly 10,000 people were murdered in the country between October and December 2024. Of these, a dozen were killed in farm attacks and of the 12, one was a farmer, while five were farm dwellers and four were employees, who are likely to have been black."

Trump couldn't handle reporters' questions as usual. Talk about thin skinned.

During a bilateral meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Trump did not hold back when NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander pressed him on his refugee policy.

Alexander asked: "Mr. President, you’ve welcomed white Afrikaner refugees here, can you explain to Americans why it’s appropriate to welcome white Afrikaans here when other refugees like Afghans, Venezuelans, Haitians have all had their protective status revoked?"

Trump snapped back and told the NBC reporter, "Well, this is a group, NBC, that is truly fake news. They ask a lot of questions in a very pointed way. They’re not questions, they’re statements."

Donald Trump Melts Down as He Hurls Insults at Reporters

Come on Mr Trump, admit it. You can't answer the question, as usual!

Its political theatre, and the "asylum seekers" are pawns. Note, they are not being fast tracked as citizens, just as refugees. Refugee status is usually canceled  when there is a judgement that the reason to be a refugee is no longer there. This doesn't have to be based on hard facts, but a political determination. Hence. Afghan translators and former members of the ANA being returned to Afghanistan, following assurances from the Taliban government  that they won't be taken to a football stadium and put down like dogs......

https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/dhs-terminating-temporary-protected-status-for-afghanistan

Or South Sudanese feeling a civil war being returned to a civil war.

Apparently 7000 white South Africans are interested in becoming refugees in the US; that leaves 4.393 million who are not interested in becoming refugees in the US.

Trump, remember, loved Nelson Mandela, loaned him a plane (apparently).

Its the same nonsense about creating econonmic leverage; Trump doesn't give two hoots about some Afrikaaner who barely speaks any English. His number 1 priority is always America's interests, and its not in America's interests to have non-English speaking Afrikaaner come to America to take jobs away from American farm labourers (presumably these refugees have arrived with barely the shirts of their pink or bronzed backs). But he has seen numbers about how much of the South African economy is controled by that 7%. So he thinks he  can create leverage on South Africa. There's nothing South Africa makes that America really wants. But in the room with them was Elon Musk, putting on his usual constipated look. There was constant reference to him in the conversation. Its about getting Starlink access to South Africa.

Elon Musk isn't an Afrikaaner; his dad came from 1st or 2nd generation English stock. His Grandad was from Minnesota. Afrikaaner kids used to beat him up at school. He "fled" South Africa rather than serving a day in the white South African Defence Force fighting poor black people (and their Cuban/German advisors) in Angola. At least, that's what he says.

He was brought up in a household where his dad was nominally an inclusive, anti-Apartheid South African and a mum who was very much her father's daughter (who moved to South Africa because he thought seperation of the races was a good idea, and he didn't like Jews).

As soon as the Americans get the deal they want; changes in South African company law to allow Starlink to set up, those South African refugees will find their status canceled faster than you can say Afghan Special Forces. They will rue the day they don't have Plan C,

Gotta be fair here. Nobody cares about what Biden may or may not have done.

Trump brought the goods and didn't let the press or the horrid PM of South Africa control the proceedings. He correctly guessed that the issue of the Boer asylum seekers would come up, and prepared accordingly. He and his staff did a masterful job preparing the this meeting.

It's always the hypocrisy.
