Had you been following the thread, you would know that my boy was in primary about 18 years ago, and that my wife with the help of my office manager applied for the benefits. I am not sure what all it was, but I know it included a monthly "welfare" payment (I think B700), a uniform allowance I think once a year, and stuff they handed out at school every month or two. It was nothing of significance to me.

That is what we were talking about and you jumped in unnoticed going on about 18 years ago . I was talking to another poster about the current situation . I will continue the discussion with the original poster about the present situation , as I have no idea what it was like 18 years ago . I was talking to fruitpudding and I asked him a question and you replied to that question and I didn't notice the change over I did a little research, and the monthly child allowance is not available to everyone, it is only available to parents that pay into social security, and it looks like it's up to B1,000 a month now.
